This good boy was heckin’ bamboozled. This dog’s name is Ace. He hasn’t seen his dad for an entire week and as you will see, he is missing his dad so very much. He’s in the garage, resting his doggy bits on a carpet while mom holds the leash when a car arrives.
Is that dad?
At first glance, it looked like the car was just going to drive past, but no. It stops and reverses on to the driveway. Ace’s excitement is palpable. His tail switches on to fully automatic mode as he sits up and barks in glee over the reversing car in front of him.
That’s daddy’s blue car!
The car backs up gently, and for a few seconds, Ace tries to stay calm. But he can barely contain himself. It’s a good thing Ace reminds himself that mom is holding the leash and if he tugs too hard, he might hurt her. What a good boy!
Hurry up, car!
The driver’s door opens and Ace lets out a squeal of delight. He explodes towards his dad like there’s no tomorrow. Dad barely gets out of the car and already, Ace has done a few laps back and forth in his excitement.
He grabs a toy to show his dad, runs back and instead of letting his human hold him, he squeals and barks in ecstasy almost at the same tempo as his wagging tail. He is so happy it’s so adorable!
Ace wiggles, paces, and squeal-barks his furry heart out barely even getting a hug from his dad.
That’s the thing with dogs isn’t it? You leave them for a few minutes, come back and it’s like forever to them. Imagine what a week does to a dog. They have such pure hearts that’s so full of love and loyalty it’s a wonder why humans outnumber them.
Ace loves his daddy!
That whole week without his dad must have been so lonely for him. Dad may have left for work or some kind of emergency which left Ace with mom. Now that’s all good but he seems to really be bonded with the alpha of the pack.

That’s the thing with dogs. Take good care of them, feed them, love them like there’s no tomorrow and you are guaranteed a lifetime of devotion and love from your pooch. It’s also one of the best feelings in the world.

It’s been a week!
Ace certainly has a heart of gold. All he ever wants is to have his dad by his side. He’s probably wondering why it took dad so long to come back. And why he wasn’t allowed to come along on that trip.
Imagine all the sloppy kisses and cuddles that happened after this video. What a great way to come home! This has to be one of the best welcome back reactions ever. Now normally it’s the wife who goes first with a hug and a kiss but this time, it’s the dog who got to go first. And to be honest, no one is complaining.
