Our technology has advanced so that almost everything can now be accessed via clicks and taps. Amazingly, bits of information can be stored in a slim, rectangular, electronic box that we use almost every day.

One of the handiest built-in applications in our phones is our Global Map app. Two of the most popular map apps are Google Maps if you are using Android and Apple Maps for iOS users.

Both offer a variety of features, like the Google Street View in Google Maps. It is a handy and interactive tool in which you can access the map from a three-dimensional perspective, allowing you to see every street and corner on your screen.

Although tons of random moments can also be captured on the Street View map.

To make the Streetview feature possible, Google sends a car with a panoramic camera to map the streets as they drive. The panorama shots are then stitched together to create the finished product.

They could also do the mapping via boat, tricycle, and even on snowmobiles. That means real-life scenarios are captured on screens, and this is why we can see hilarious, adorable, or bizarre shots whenever we browse the map from this perspective.

For example, let’s take a look at this dog chasing a Google Street View car in Japan.

A curious Shiba Inu chased a passing map car.

We’re not sure how people found this scene, but it certainly went viral on the internet.

It was at Kumage District, Kagoshima in Japan where this adorable Shiba Inu was found to be chasing a Google Street View car.

The car was just passing by the streets, but the dog immediately sprinted toward the car the instant he noticed it.

If you roam around the exact area on your Google Maps, you can see hilarious shots of the actual dog and car chase. In the beginning, you can see the dog doing a playful stance after he notices the car.

Without a clear reason, the dog began chasing it. Despite the car running at a high speed, the dog was not willing to give up on tailing them.

You can see the desperate expression on the dog’s face as he continues his curious pursuit.

Although, at some point, the high-speed chase died down after hitting a dead end. No one exactly knows what happened next as the car finished mapping the area. The brave doggo deserves pets and treats after tirelessly running for meters.

It is amazing to think about how people come across these shots. Perhaps the reason why they saw this was because they were bored, and they randomly click somewhere on the map and saw this. Or, perhaps they were using it for scouting the area to avoid getting lost. Whatever the reason, these priceless moments are such a wonder to witness.

Why do dogs chase cars?

We often see dogs chasing cars in the neighborhood, but why do they do this? Experts say that it is a dog’s instinct to chase anything that moves either because of their territorial and predatory instincts toward unfamiliar objects.

Sometimes, they do it out of their playfulness. Therefore, it is pretty normal for the Shiba Inu to chase down the car passing through his territory.

Follow the dog’s journey from start to finish by navigating Google Maps.
