Taking a dog to the vet for a check-up is important, but pups don’t always know that. A dog may never come to terms with the fact that a visit to the vet has its benefits.
There is one dog on YouTube that has the facial expression of what any dog could possibly feel when being taken to the vet.
The dog is a pitbull, but its face appears to have become more sullen than it naturally is because of the visit to the doctor.
The funny video has been viewed 2.4 million times and has received 91,000 likes. Every dog owner can relate to this struggle!
The pitbull’s name is Ottis. He is bothered with the visit to the vet and one other thing. In the video, it becomes apparent that Ottis is not feeling up for a ride to the vet. He is sitting in the backseat and looking particularly concerned about what is about to happen.
It turns out that the pitbull has also been tricked into thinking that he is going to the park. His expression shows that he is not pleased with it either.
Ottis’ concern after finding out that they are not going to the park is warranted, however.
The poor dog could still be waiting for the car to continue driving until they reach the park. Ottis could also be feeling apprehensive about his unplanned visit to the vet.
It is quite normal for a dog like Ottis to feel anxious when seeing a veterinarian. Past experiences of check-ups and treatments may trigger that anxiety. It is also possible that a dog starts to freak out because of new people and procedures.
But, in Ottis’ case, his anxiety partly stems from the discovery that he is not going to the park after all.
YouTube users have their own takes on the pitbull’s anxiety. One YouTube user writes that Ottis’ face shows “true fear” in the video. The user adds that the dog is actually recalling his past visits to the vet.
Another YouTube user, Saborise, notices that there is disappointment in the dog’s eyes in the video. “The disappointment in the dog’s eyes is immeasurable and his day was ruined.”
The video of Ottis is also on the popular video-sharing app TikTok with a hilarious description: “Mom you said we were getting a puppachino?!”
The amusing prank of Ottis’ mother must have left the dog pining for the park.
The mother also shares that there was a time that Ottis tried to escape out of a window because of a visit to the vet. She also mentions that she is thankful that the dog did not damage the window in the process.
Ottis is certain that he doesn’t want to go the vet in the video. And, his way of showing it is very funny.
