There are few things sweeter than watching a dad rock his baby to sleep. But what about a dad who does the same thing for his dog? Okay, before you laugh or roll your eyes, remember that to a lot of people, their pets are just like children.
That was the case for one man who owned a beautiful Pit Bull. In a video that’s now garnered more than 3.4 million views, the world got to witness a special moment between an animal and human. But not only is the man’s singing sweet but also the reaction of his dog.
Trying to go to sleep
The video begins with a handsome Pit Bull laying down inside a kennel. He has his blankie and a toy. Yet, he’s having trouble falling asleep. So, his “dad” came up with a brilliant idea. Why not sing him a lullaby? After all, it works with babies, right?
People will do just about anything for their pets
As mentioned, pets are often more like children to many people, even those with kids. We see them take their dogs or cats for walks in a stroller, swing by the ice cream shop to buy them a scoop, and get their nails painted a pretty color while at animal daycare. When you consider all that, singing to a Pit Bull doesn’t seem so crazy.
Don’t worry…dads got this
As the man talks to his dog, he slowly looks up at him with the most adoring eyes ever. Unfortunately, Pit Bulls get a bad rap. Some people think they’re all dangerous but in truth, most are loving and sweet. It all comes down to how this breed is raised. Treat them with kindness and they’ll be your loyal friend for life.
I’d be smiling too
Using the music to the song, “In the Arms of an Angel,” this pet owner switches things up by singing, “In the arms of your daddy.” Immediately, his Pit Bull begins to smile. He’s grinning from ear to ear, obviously enjoying the attention his dad is giving him. What a sweetie.
“Little baby sleeps”
The second those words come out of the man’s mouth, the dog lowers his head and closes his eyes. The reaction is immediate. Of course, the “dad” has a very soothing singing voice so I’m sure that helped a lot. His Pit Bull looks so relaxed and calm.
He’s fighting it
Just like a human baby, this dog is trying so hard to not fall asleep. He closes his eyes for a few seconds and then sleepily opens them. But as his dad continues to sing, it’s starting to work. Even though he’s making up the words as he goes, this Pit Bull is loving every second of the lullaby.
The world loves this
People who’ve seen this video had a lot to say. One person commented, “This dog is probably the sweetest thing ever.” Another person had this to say, “He looks at him like “please do the song dad” then got so damn happy at the sound of the first note.”
