Dogs are loyal creatures who quickly form bonds with the animals and people around them. Sometimes, dogs also form amazing bonds with inanimate objects. This is the case with a sweet dog named Lucky.
Lucky’s dad bought him a teddy bear six years ago, and they’ve been inseparable ever since!
Lucky brings his bear everywhere, from his dog bed to his backyard. Unfortunately, in January 2019, Lucky accidentally left his beloved bear outside overnight. There was a rainstorm that night, and the pup’s favorite toy was almost destroyed.
Lucky’s dad, Terry Wallace, shared the bad news with his wife and daughter in a series of texts.
Terry’s daughter, Michaella, is away at college, and he wanted to keep her in the loop about what was going on with Lucky’s favorite toy. At first, Terry worried that he wouldn’t be able to revive the bear. But then, he shared that he had found a slight pulse!
Terry hooked the bear up to an IV and performed ‘emergency surgery.’ Once the bear was stable, Terry let Lucky and his sister Laci visit.
Lucky was so happy to see that his bear was okay. You can see the relief on the little pup’s face.
Soon, the bear was back to his old self. Terry shared another photo with his family showing Lucky and his bear happily playing together.
Michaella thought her dad’s dedication to his dog was both sweet and hilarious.
“With the first week of classes starting my dad wanted to send me a little something for a pick-me-up,” she told the Press Association.
Michaella also explained this isn’t the first time her dad has done something like this.
“My dad’s been doing things to make my mom and I laugh my whole life,” she said. “He always has gone the extra mile to bring a connection between the three of us. His time he gets to spend with us has always been limited due to his work schedule, so he has always tried to make the best of it.”
Michaella shared the whole text exchange on Twitter, and it quickly went viral.

Twitter users loved seeing what Terry did for his pup! One Twitter user thought of the perfect response to the photo of Lucky and Laci with the patient.
Those dogs look like worried parents at the hospital waiting for news on their son 😩😩
