Dachshund puppy has cutest reaction to meeting toy lookalike

Animals can often be pretty gullible, and we couldn’t help but laugh when we came across this video of a dog being tricked into thinking that her human parents had brought home another puppy. To add to the poor pup’s confusion, this new addition to the family looks almost exactly like her, and she doesn’t seem best pleased about it!

Her reaction brought a smile to our faces, and we’re sure that it will for you too.

The hilarious video was shared onto YouTube by Rumble Viral with the caption:

‘Madeline experiences her first encounter with a battery-powered Dachshund toy dog. Watch how she reacts!’

It immediately racked in the views as over 25,000 people clicked to watch, and they just couldn’t get enough of the dachshund’s adorable reaction.

When the clip begins, Madeline seems to be a little apprehensive about her new puppy friend.

Despite being evidently curious, she’s hanging back from the toy pup and is fearful of getting any closer. She seems especially startled when the toy opens its mouth and does some pretty realistic sounding puppy barking!

However, in no time at all Madeline begins to grow in confidence.

She quickly musters up the courage to walk up to her lookalike and sniff its butt. She really thinks that it’s a real dog! Not satisfied with whatever she can detect, Madeline then decides to give the pup a nudge with her nose.

The nudge is enough to push the toy onto its side, and Madeline walks away with a look of satisfaction on her face as if to say, “That’s done it.”

But much to Madeline’s anguish, her owners pick up the toy and stand it upright again, so she’s going to have to sort this intruder out once and for all.

The funny pup picks up the lookalike in her mouth and heads off with it. She probably had plans to bury it in a secret corner so that once it’s hidden away, her owners will go back to giving her their full attention.

People took to the comments to share their love for the video, with one user saying:

“That was too funny, he looked like he was saying ‘Shut up you tiny thing, OK one more chance… That’s it give me your ear right now.”‘

Someone else added:

‘He tries to smell it’s butt. That’s hilarious.’

We came across a video on Rumble Viral of a dog having a full-blown conversation with a mimicking dog toy, and it’s one of the funniest things we’ve seen in a long time! The toy basically works like an echo, repeating everything that you say to it, and the poor dog was beyond confused that his barks were being replied to in the exact same way!
