We all know that Dachshund puppies aren’t tall. It’s quite the opposite, and their tiny legs make it challenging to climb the stairs. However, two puppies overcame that problem quickly when their mom mentioned a bath. The video of two doggies racing towards the bathroom got more than 18 million YouTube views.

The owner explained in the video description that we shouldn’t be concerned about the health of her pups’ backs because she typically carries them up the stairs. She only let them run once, to film their enthusiasm about water. Well, they love having a bath, that’s for sure.

It is only a small gate on the bottom of the stairs keeping the puppies on the ground floor.

You can see that curiosity is taking the best of them. The two adorable Dachshund babies are jumping around while their owner is laughing behind the camera.

As soon as she asks them, “Are you ready for a bath?” the two doggies start jumping with excitement.

A minute-long video is a perfect example of pure joy. Can you remember when the last time when you were so happy about something was?

Who would have thought that dogs could be so in love with water?

When their mom finally opens the gate, the Dachshunds run upstairs. We have never imagined that those tiny legs could be so fast.

Where there is a will, there is a way. One viewer’s comment sums up everyone’s thoughts:

“Never have I seen any dog go nuts for their bath. They’re so cute.”

Check out those cute little paws. One puppy manages to jump into the tub. The other one needs a helping hand.

The real party starts when they enter the bathroom. Four-legged swimmers are eager to get into the water.

One of them jumps in right away, but the smaller one has to wait for his mom to pick him up. Aren’t they charming, especially when you compare them to much bigger dogs who would never enter the tub willingly, not even if you threw a steak in it?

Amazingly, many dogs are born for the water, and they’re genuinely delighted to hit the beach.

Some of the breeds that revel in swimming are retrievers, spaniels, a Portuguese water dog, Otterhound, Newfoundland, etc.

They were developed to adjust to the water quickly, and they are great hunters. Did you know that a Newfoundland has a large lung capacity, and this dog can swim long distances to bring a victim back to safety?

We somehow think that our two heroes from the video would give their best shot at swimming long distances, too.

Look at them enjoying the bath. The water seems fantastic.

They are swimming in circles, relaxing, and enjoying the bath. If they could talk, they would probably tell us that they’re in heaven.

The owner did an excellent thing for filming them. The moment they start playing together in the water is precious. We love how much they love it.

Interestingly, the original name of a hotdog was a Dachshund sausage. They later shortened it to a hotdog.

Yes, that is true. Dachshund’s long body resembles the Weiner so much that people decided to name the deli product after the dog.
