Crying baby has perfect reaction when wolf dog starts singing
It's incredible that a dog's instincts don't only relate to the wild, but to people too! Mesmerized.

Are you ready for something kind of incredible between man and beast? How about a connection between a big Siberian husky and its owner’s brand new baby?

The video today shows a really interesting interaction between a dog and baby!

These are two beings we find it difficult to communicate with every day!

The video starts regularly enough, the baby is just hanging out in their cradle (I mean, what else do babies do?!) and the husky is keeping a watchful eye over the cradle like a good guard dog!

Only, the baby soon starts to cry!

Luckily, this guard dog acts as a nanny dog too!

There’s a growing demographic of people using white noise and sound therapy to help their babies sleep!

After all, sleep is the unaffordable luxury that every parent craves!

There are of course pros and cons to using white noise to help your baby sleep! According to Healthline, they are:

Babies may be able to fall asleep faster with white noise in the background.

White noise can block out household noise such as older siblings.

Some infant white noise machines have a heartbeat setting mimicking the mother, which may be comforting for newborns.

Why do I bring up white noise and sound therapy you ask? Well, remember when I said it was lucky the guard dog was also a nanny dog? Well, it’s because…

The husky tries to sing the baby back to sleep!

He lets out his best wolf howl for the baby, clearly thinking it will calm the baby down and help them to stop crying! Of course, if I was a baby I would probably be terrified of a wolf howl right beside me! (I am now an adult man and I would still be scared of a wolf howl from any distance.)

Do the dog and baby share a special enough bond for this to work?

White noise (and therefore dog howls) works for some babies but not all of them! The cons from Healthline are listed as:

White noise machines may exceed recommended noise limits for babies.

Babies can become dependent on white noise machines to be able to fall asleep.

Not all babies respond well to white noise.

If this baby didn’t respond well to white noise it could have made the crying worse!

The bark offered up some possible answers on why exactly dogs howl at babies, especially as a response to crying:

The dog howls because she likes to join in with the baby’s “howling.”

The dog howls because she has learned that this gets the baby to quiet down.

The dog howls because she doesn’t like being near the baby. (This seems like the least likely option for this video since the dog seems pretty willing to sit and watch over the baby.)

The dog howls because she’s trying to get a human’s attention: (“Pick up the baby and make it stop!!!)

So what do you think? Will the dog’s howling quiet the baby down or will it just make the whole situation so much worse?

Dogs haven’t exactly always been logical beings!

You’ll have to watch the video below to find out, and I highly recommend you do because it’s really something else to see for yourself!
