They say you should never judge a book by its cover— but unfortunately, the practice is still way too common. Most recently, a beautiful 10-year-old cat named Majesty almost lost out on a great life simply because of the way she looked.

Majesty is a 10-year-old Siamese with slightly crossed-eyes and an unbelievably big heart. She doesn’t understand why nobody wanted her— but that hasn’t stopped her from giving every ounce of love.

Majesty, the kindhearted Siamese, was found as a stray and immediately sentenced to kitty death row. Her report read that she had a heart murmur and needed extensive dental work. In the end, nobody seemed to think she was worth the while. Luckily, the loving folks over at The Odd Cat Sanctuary in Salem, Massachusettes, caught wind of her situation and knew they had to step in and help.

When The Odd Cat Sanctuary workers brought Majesty to the vet, they were pleasantly surprised to hear that the kitty didn’t have a heart murmur at all! And while she did appear to need extensive dental work, they made just to get that all taken care of.

After a few vet appointments, Majesty was good as new. Sure, her eyes are still a little crossed but she can see just fine. Plus, her eyes sure don’t stop her from smothering everyone with endless cuddles, love, and attention.

“She loves everyone, especially kids,” the rescue told Love Meow. “She purrs nonstop and just wants to be held. She’s a gentle soul.”

The Odd Cat Sanctuary placed Majesty with a foster parent. They were confident she’d find the puuurfect forever family soon enough. The cat hadn’t stopped purring since she entered the sanctuary, and she still happily fills every lap with a cuddly, furry bundle of love.

The sanctuary posted Majesty’s adoption listing on their Facebook page. And nearly a month later, they hadn’t gotten a single application from anybody who wanted her. The little fluffball was eager to give love to anyone willing to receive it, and she was great with other animals and children too. It just didn’t make any sense.

Her eyes were likely a turn-off to potential families. But if you ask me, they are the cutest thing about her (excluding her insatiable need for companionship and cuddles)! Majesty loves everyone and everything, and isn’t afraid to let you know; her loud purrs fill the space of every room she enters. Still, she hasn’t found a home.

LoveMeow shared Majesty’s story last month, but have not posted any updates since. The poor, little lovebug is still listed on The Odd Cat Sanctuary website and desperate for a loving family to smother with the affection she has to share. Majesty had a holiday wish to be adopted by Christmas, but when it comes to a beautiful soul like this, it’s never too late for love.

Now, let’s help spread the word about this sweet, adoring cat. It’s about time she gets the life that she undoubtedly deserves.
