Reunions are always great—whether for humans or animals. Every reunion is as sweet as it can be. Today’s story is about how a cow and his favorite dog finally got to see each other again.
Haru is a cow who fell in love with puppies and somehow started acting like one. You are who you surround yourself with indeed!
The cow just adores the pups!
One day, the dogs just started running toward the cow. Haru was a bit overwhelmed and didn’t know what to do. As per their human, it was his first time being showered with puppy kisses!
“Literally the first time we let them into our backyard, these little pittie puppies saw him, jumped on his face and gave him a ton of kisses,” Haru’s mom shared. “No concern about this massive animal whatsoever.”
But Haru somehow enjoyed it!
From being overwhelmed, he suddenly showed signs of enjoying these sweet puppy kisses and snuggles. In fact, he somehow learned to reach out to the dogs himself so they can reach his precious face.
She continued, “He would keep his head down for a couple of seconds, like, ‘Really? No kisses today?'”
It has turned into such a fond habit.
Apparently, Haru’s family has been fostering dogs. Just the year prior, they fostered a total of 20 puppies. But since Haru was technically alone at his previous home and didn’t have a herd of cows with him, he was socially awkward.
So it was no surprise that when he was suddenly surrounded by multiple dogs every day, he just automatically thought that he was a dog as well. He must’ve thought he was just a massive one!
Haru was always curious about the pups.
“When he saw dogs running around, he really wanted to check it out,” his dad said.
Haru would always go where the pups are and would always be curious about what they were up to. And as per his family, the dogs around him seem to think he’s a dog as well—just an abnormally large one!
They call him their giant Saint Bernard.
However, since the dogs are foster puppies, it was only a matter of time before they leave one by one. Hence, Haru had to say goodbye to a lot of them. It must’ve been so heartbreaking.
Not all dogs are into him. Sometimes, he would keep his head low and wonder why he wasn’t getting any of the puppy kisses he was used to. It was obvious he was missing the sweet ones.
Until one of his favorite pups came to visit.
“Haru was so excited to be able to see him,” his mom said. “It was great to see them playing, running around, acting just like two much larger puppies now.”
It reminded Haru’s family that he really is their foster brother. He loved all of them and looked after them until they had to leave.
As for his family, they aim to give him all the love in the world so that no matter which dog leaves, he will still be just as happy.
