A ‘photobomb’ almost always ends up in a great and funny picture, but it’s even better if it’s an animal who’s drawing all the attention.

The adorable Labrador retriever Boone has amassed quite the internet fame after he graciously decided to roll around in the grass during his owners’ wedding ceremony.

Suffice to say, the wedding pictures are certainly one of a kind.

Boone has been living with his owner Jayce Conway ever since the four-footer was little and they share a special and deep connection with each other. The two best friends are absolutely inseparable.

“Boone basically goes everywhere that I will go,” the owner said to The Dodo. “He would wake up with me at 4:30 in the morning, ride with me to work and then he would ride around on my golf cart with me all day while we managed the golf course.”

Not long after, Jayce met the love of his life. His future wife, Angie Blumberg, noticed their special friendship and it warmed her heart.

“Seeing Jayce take care of this dog so well was part of what made me fall in love with him,” Angie said. “We’ve been a little family. He’s my bud.”

The two lovebirds were living in different states at the time, and they had a long-distance relationship with each other for years. Every time Jayce and Angie saw each other, Boone was more than excited to join the happy couple.

When they started planning the wedding, they wanted to do something special for Boone.

Funnily enough, Jayce immediately dismissed the idea of letting Boone be a ring bearer, as he had a scary dream about the possibility.

“I didn’t want to tie any rings on him,” he explained. “He is very well-behaved, but he cannot resist water, and we got married about 7 feet from the river. So I just kind of had a nightmare about him running in the water with rings tied to his wrist or something. So his only role was to stand there next to us, and pose for pictures.”

In other words, Boone would still have a prominent spot next to the bride and the groom.

Everybody couldn’t hold back their laughter when Boone decided to roll around.

“It was during the opening prayer… Boone was on the side of Jayce during the prayer, and he kind of moved forward and laid in front of us, and then decided to roll around in the grass,” the bride said.

The pastor even had to interrupt the ceremony for a little while because the whole situation was just too hilarious to ignore.

“He was trying to read the prayer while not laughing out loud,” Jayce recalls. “I was trying to keep my composure a little bit, fighting back a smile.”

Jayce suspects that Boone’s actions in the grass weren’t really the pup’s fault, as he washed him the night before the wedding. It’s possible that the four-footer didn’t like the fragrance on his body and tried to mask it by rolling around in the grass.

“He pulled that same move in the rehearsal also, so I guess we kind of knew it was coming.”

The wedding pictures went viral and were quickly seen by millions.

A local news station asked for permission to share the most remarkable photo, and it has been going around like a fire ever since.

The couple made a short trip to Zion National Park with low cell service and were surprised to see their phones blow up with messages and notifications when they got back.

“We thought it would be a local fluff piece … and then we basically went into no service,” Jayce said. “We didn’t know what happened … and by the time we were able to get some messages through, it had already been shared like 40,000 times just since St. Louis, and that was in like 12 hours or something crazy. From there, it just took off like wildfire.”

“We intended the entire time to have a very small intimate wedding in the mountains, and now 10 million people have seen pictures of it,” Jayce concluded laughingly.

As for the two lovebirds, they’ll be moving to Alabama and won’t have to deal with long-distance issues any longer. Of course, they’ll be a happy family of three with Boone around.

“We’ll be living in the same state, almost for the first time … and I think we’re really going to enjoy taking Boone for walks together,” Annie told. “I think we’re going to do some hiking down there, and do some exploring in a new place.”

“I think he’s adaptable to any situation, as long as he’s there with us,” Jayce added.
