Anyone with a pet will tell you that their fur gets just about everywhere. Cats seem to be drawn to any black item of clothing like a magnet – and if you’re wearing black jeans, don’t even think about sitting on the couch unless you want a fluffy white bum. It can be frustrating having to vacuum up after your pets on a daily basis, but it’s more than worth it to have your own special fur baby.
Well, one man decided that he was going to embrace his cat’s fur in a very unique way – by making felt hats out of it!
Yep, you read that right- the man has been collecting his cats’ shedding fur and making the most stylish little hats, and we just can’t get over how adorable they look! Joking aside, the hats are actually really well made, and this man has a serious talent!

The man behind the magic is Japanese photographer Ryo Yamazaki, and he collects his material from three Scottish fold cats: 8-year-old Nyaa (tabby), 6-year-old Mar (white), and 1-year-old Wheat (brown tiger). He shares all of his adorable craftsmanship onto his Instagram account, rojiman, and we thought we’d post our favorite creations below! If these pictures don’t cheer you up today, then nothing will.
1. The Cat From Outer Space
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it a spaceship? We’re not entirely sure what this hat represents, but what we do know is that this is the coolest kitty we ever did see. We can’t get over the fact that this is all made out of his own fur!
2. An Extra Pair Of Ears
Self conscious about your own pair of ears? Then why not wear a hat that has another pair on top? And when they’re made out of your own fur, the ears practically belong to you anyway.
3. Two Hats In One
This is the perfect solution for those whose caps don’t normally fit on their heads properly. Simply make a base hat to go underneath before creating a cute little cap to sit on top. Absolutely adorable!
4. Long Hair Don’t Care
As a short-haired cat, you can often wonder what it’s like to have longer fur. Well, for this cat, he needs to wonder no more! We think he looks very pretty with long hair.
5. Happy Easter
The great thing about making your own cat fur hats is that you can theme them depending on the time of the year. This is the cutest Easter bunny we ever did see.
6. Matching Trio
Now this is a sibling look that we think everybody should be rocking. We’ll take one of each, please.
