Corgis are great family dogs. Put them in a household, be it an apartment or a mansion, and they’ll be just fine. Just make sure you give them time to stretch those short legs as these dogs have tons of energy that need to be burned.

They are wonderful with children and other pets. A Corgi will be content with attention and lots of love which is a given when owning a dog.

Not needy at all.

But this little Corgi wants all the attention to himself though. Dad just wants to kiss his baby, as all fathers do, but his dog won’t allow it. For each time dad leans in to kiss his son, the dog blocks it and nudges dad with his nose.

He may be short but he’s got that strength his breed is known for! Check out his nose nudge!

Can’t really blame him. This dog had all the attention up until the little guy was born. Dad’s focus has shifted now. And while we humans understand, a dog does not. As far as he’s concerned, he was there first. Kisses for the dog!

Corgis are intelligent but are known to be stubborn. And they will bark. They are pretty vocal. Fearless but with a sense of family, they have sharp senses and are vigilant making them great pets.

But they need kisses!

Dad here is proudly wearing his uniform with the American flag on his arm. He represents his country with pride. His son will know that someday and will have something to be proud of. The dog? He could care less. All he wants are his human’s kisses.

Dogs do get jealous. They form attachments with their owners so it’s only natural for them to covet what they feel is theirs. They will squeeze in between two people talking, push other pets away, and in this Corgi’s case, get in the way of dad’s kissing. It’s cute so long as there is no aggressive behavior shown.

Not this good boy!

Of course he loves this adorable baby boy! But it cannot be a three way affair. It’s either dad and dog, or baby and dog. Never dad and baby as far as this Corgi is concerned. It’s either dad kisses him, and he kisses the baby. Not dad kissing baby, ever!

They say that this breed was a gift from fairies that lived in the fields of Wales. The marking on the dogs’ backs were proof of where fairies sat on them. Corgis helped take care of the family cattle and since then has found their way into the homes of the Welsh folk. So they say.

Welsh Corgis are divided into two kinds. The Pembroke and the Cardigan.

Even Queen Elizabeth II had one! It was named Rozavel Golden Eagle and was Elizabeth and her sister, Margaret’s playmate in 1933. They are small but pack big hearts. These dogs will love their humans as much as they can. So start kissing them!

This dog does love his dad! So much so that he just wants all his kisses. Corgi will take care of the baby, dad!
