Welcoming a new baby into the family is always something that everyone looks forward to, even our lovely pets at home. Today’s story is about a Chihuahua who instantly fell in love with the baby that his owner brought home, and the pooch just could not hide his excitement.
A particular family was pregnant with a baby boy and their adorable Chihuahua was waiting for his arrival.
For nine months, this little Chihuahua waited patiently to meet the new family member. As most animals can instinctively tell that there is a growing baby inside a mother’s womb, Quica, the family Chihuahua, probably knew already that he was about to have a baby brother. After nine months of waiting, the baby boy was finally born, with the parents naming him as Nicholas.
It was time to bring baby Nicholas home and introduce him to the rest of the family.
The parents were excited and anxious at the same time thinking about what Quica’s reaction might be after seeing the baby for the first time. However, they would never know unless they introduced baby Nicholas to their dog. The dad gently wrapped the bundle of joy in his arms, and as the family entered the room where Quica was in, they then saw the peppy dog wagging its tail while looking at them. Upon seeing Quica’s high-spirited reaction, the family assumed that it is safe to introduce the baby to him slowly.
The excited pooch patiently sat on the floor waiting for his owner to show him the baby.
Quica’s rapid tail-wagging tells you how delighted he is upon seeing the baby in his dad’s arms. However, he wanted to have a closer look at his baby brother and so he sat patiently on the floor and waited for his dad to come to him.
When dad steadily descended to the floor with the baby, the Chihuahua immediately turned to a submissive position all while keeping the bursting excitement inside of him. Quica wanted to be beside his baby brother all the time, and so he follows wherever the baby was and proceeds to lie on his back. Comparing their sizes, baby Nicholas was just as the same height as Quica and they are just too adorable.
This adorable pair will certainly be the best of buds in no time.
The family was relieved and overjoyed upon seeing the sweet sight of their Chihuahua and their newborn baby. The wait was not over yet, as Nicholas still had to take some time growing up. In several months or years, Quica could finally have a brother to play with. Until then, he should remain gentle around him at all times.
Undoubtedly, they will grow up to become the best of friends. Since this wholesome clip was taken two years ago, we wonder how baby Nicholas and Quica are doing now. Although, we do not have much to worry about because with this family around, they will certainly make sure that both would grow up in a loving environment.
