There are many things in life that are genuinely astonishing, and I would consider genetics to be one of those things!
Two living beings, not only passing on their traits but the traits of those who birthed them but creating beautiful masterpieces.
Here we see the amazing creation of Da Vinci the Foal!
A beautiful surprise.
Wendy Bulmer had a big surprise awaiting her not long after purchasing a horse at a sale.
At Flying Hall Riding School in North Yorkshire, England a surprise birth took place!
The horse purchased earlier that year gave birth to a beautiful chestnut foal.
As if the birth of a foal from a horse that she didn’t know was pregnant wasn’t enough, this foal came out with peculiar markings.
The foal is named after an infamous artist.
The markings of this foal gave him his famous name, the name of one of the biggest artists in the world, Da Vinci.
The white marking that you can see in the photo starts at the neck of the horse and almost perfectly imitates the side profile of a horse!
It even extends into the mane giving the look of a full white horse on the left side of Da Vinci.
Genetics breed traits, inside and out.
If you’ve never met a horse before, you’ve likely been told that they are majestic animals.
If you have stood in front of a horse face to face, that reality is an incredible thing to experience.
They are beautiful, smart, strong, agile, and very friendly.
So not only are they a sight to see, they are a great pet for homes that can give them work to do and a space to roam and live.

Riding schools are typically great places to visit for school field trips, family weekend activities, and regular sport!
Many people who who have love for horses built that love from a young age as a child.
Many children are building that relationship with horses with Da Vinci!
Owner, Wendy Bulmer, says that Da Vinci is a very sociable horse and that he regularly interacts with schoolchildren.
I can only imagine the look on the faces of those little ones when they realize that Da Vinci has a marking on him that looks like a horse!
Will these markings pass on?
As amazing as it would be to see this astonishing miracle replicate itself, it is unknown if Da Vinci has had any offspring.
But even so, a miracle like this only comes around so often!
So for now, we admire Da Vinci for his beautiful markings and hope to see another one like him in the near future.
