When things get rough in life, we thankfully have things that remind us of how beautiful life can be.
Whether it’s a beautiful sunset, the smiling face of a child, or a furry friend to cuddle up to.
The video we’re about to show you has two out of those three things. So, if you’re in need of a pick me up, you’re in luck!
The video shows us a little girl, probably no older than the age of 2, and her trusty cat who has a Garfield look to him.
We see this little girl in a yellow dress sitting on a bed and crawling over to her feline friend.
She gives him a pet then puts her arm around the cat and pulls the cat toward her to get cozy.
The orange and beige cat with a beautiful wide face doesn’t seem to mind at all.
He’s probably used to it by now.
To be honest we’re not sure who is cuter. They are both absolutely adorable and their interaction together is just an overload of cuteness.
We later see the little girl napping and her little cat buddy comes on over and gives her hands some kisses so she can sleep well.
Then he just finds a nook and cuddles up on her.
Later we see her giving him more hugs, which can be rare for a cat. The cat even allows the little girl to brush him.
These two are best friends and you can tell they both really love each other.
They do just about everything together.
They share food and eat together, they play together, draw together, and, of course, cuddle together.
The cat even lets her pick him up out of his little cat bed. He doesn’t seem the least bit upset about it.
He likes to watch her when she takes a bath, and she stands by close when he’s using his fancy litter box.
He even tolerates her kisses. And they both like to play on their wooden swing set/jungle gym.
They also like to read books together and it looks hilarious because the cat actually seems like he is looking at the book too.
While some cats have a reputation for being cranky, that’s not always the case.
“Cats and young children can absolutely live safely and happily together if you adopt a cat with the right temperament. The best cats for kids are gentle, friendly, and patient,” Hill’s Pet says.
You’ll want to explore the cat’s temperament before bringing them into a home with children.
American Shorthair, Ragdoll, and Birman cat breeds are known to be gentle, laid back, and adaptable and get along well in households with children.
Having a cat in your home can be very beneficial to children, according to the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University.
“Children raised with pets often demonstrate well-balanced emotional health benefits such as greater empathy, cognitive development, and greater social participation,” their website Catnip Tufts explains.
