Meet Memphis: a one-year-old cat with two cute noses.
For the first year of his life, Memphis lived with his owners in Salem, Massachusetts. While his owners loved him, they sadly could no longer for care for him and had to give him up. At first, they tried to put him in a shelter, but the shelters in their area threatened to euthanize the poor cat.
Memphis needed someone to come and rescue him before the worst could happen. Thankfully, a volunteer with Odd Cat Sanctuary heard about Memphis. She quickly contacted Odd Cat’s founder, Tara Kay, who said they would happily take him in.
Odd Cat Sanctuary takes in cats who are a bit unusual and have no place else to go. This could be because they have medical illnesses, behavioral issues, or are feral or semi-feral. Odd Cat Sanctuary gives these cats tons of love, care, and medical attention. They also work hard to find foster homes and forever homes that are right for these unique cats.
In the beginning of April 2018, Memphis officially moved into Odd Cat Sanctuary. He quickly settled into life in the rescue organization.
Memphis has a very unique look, which Kay described to Love Meow:
“He was born with deformed soft palate, smushed face and a cleft lip. Both noses are functional. He does breathe louder and snores! But he does great.”
Memphis also has a little goatee and a few freckles. This sweet cat is as cute as can be!
Memphis is having a great time at Odd Cat Sanctuary, and Kay loves having him. He makes adorable chirping sounds when he wants attention, and he loves cuddling.
“Memphis is super affectionate, loves to be loved and purr,” Kay says.
Kay started an Instagram page for Memphis to show the world how cute this little kitty is. She often shares videos of Memphis going about his day.
She also shared an adorable video of Memphis happily sticking his little tongue out.
Memphis is currently in a wonderful foster home, and Odd Cat Sanctuary will soon put him up for adoption. The sanctuary will make sure that Memphis is going to the right forever home, a place where he’ll have owners who will give him the love and affection he deserves.
“He will make a lucky forever family so happy,” Kay says.
