For as long as he could remember, Larry, the sweet tabby cat, had been living as a stray. He loved gorging himself on yummy snacks and treats, but homeless life had left him bitter and scared. That all changed when he met Theresa though.
Theresa noticed Larry wandering around the neighborhood, but every time she approached him, he would hiss and try to swat. Theresa knew Larry had lived a rough life and wasn’t aggressive at heart, so she continued trying to befriend him. He was a tough nut to crack, but the kind woman soon won him over with endless goodies and love.
After a while, Larry seemed to realize that the hunger pains in his belly were absent when Theresa was around. His itchy back was always scratched, and the hole in his heart was slowly being filled.
“After I gained his trust I was able to get him help,” Theresa told Love Meow. “He was so happy with me that he fought other strays to be the one I gave attention to.”
While Theresa was becoming Larry’s favorite human, she was also in the midst of opening up a new retail store. One day, Theresa decided to bring Larry along to the store with her— and he loved every minute. In fact, Larry enjoyed spending time at the store so much, he decided to become the new security guard!
“He settled in nicely, became playful and fully affectionate. Customers loved him and he now has a fan base,” Theresa told Love Meow.
Like Betty the salon cat, Larry takes his job very seriously. Perched on the counter, with his knowing eyes, no shoplifters go unnoticed on Larry’s watch!
He welcomes every customer that enters— but suspicious shoppers get the kitty pat-down.
Larry spends lots of time on daily paperwork, assisting the store’s staff with a helping paw.
In fact, when it comes to the employees, Larry trained them all himself.
Despite his adorable face, Larry has a glare that can stop trouble in its tracks.
And after a long day of watching the merchandise, he likes to lounge around and relax.
But shoplifters, dont get too excited… Larry is always watching.
(Well, most of the time, at least.)
