A little gray and white cat had spent her life on the street her life on the street, struggling to survive. One day, the cat wandered onto a construction site.
Little did she know, this action was going to completely change her life.
A construction worker saw the cat walking around by itself, looking terrified. He carefully approached the cat, and once he gained her trust, he brought her into his car and took her home with him.
The construction worker liked the cat, but he couldn’t keep her because he had pets of his own. He asked around to see if anyone could take the cat, and one of his family members put him in touch with a woman named Sellecca Berg.
Berg and her husband went to meet the cat, and they immediately fell in love with the sweet, shy animal. The brought the cute kitty home with them and named her Gravy.
The cat was skittish at first, but the couple was patient with her. They also took her to the vet and got all of her necessary shots and deworming medicine.
When she was at the construction worker’s house, Gravy had been stressed and anxious because of the other animals there. But after just a day with Berg, she started relaxing. She began purring when she saw her parents, and she settled into her forever home.
The sweet cat would nudge her parents when she wanted attention, and she loved snuggling with them. She had started opening up, and she loved her new owners!
Berg and her husband have another cat, Biscuit, but they decided to wait a few days before introducing him to Gravy.
During those days, they kept Biscuit and Gravy in separate parts of the house. Once they were sure Gravy was comfortable, they brought Biscuit and Gravy into the same room.
At first, the cats were a bit confused, and they didn’t play together too much. But after a week, they became best friends! They began snuggling together, and they slept at their parents’ feet at night. During the day, they loved chasing each other around the house.
Gravy has come a long way since she was first discovered at the construction site. Now, this cute girl spends her days running around Berg’s house and napping in her favorite sunbeams. She’s gone from a scared animal to one who’s happy and loved. This sweet cat has found the perfect forever home!
