Animal love is the best kind of love. Nothing can compare to the endless adoration of your pet.

One owner learned just what the two adorable kitties thought when they got an automatic feeder.

Cee Webster lives in Oregon and is allergic to cats.

Though allergies had always prevented owning a cat, Webster would often visit the kitties who were waiting to be adopted from local pet stores.

One day Webster was feeling a bit down and decided to stop in at the Pixie Project and give the animals some love.

Expecting just a short snuggle session, instead two cats wiggled their way into Webster’s heart.

Tucker and Finley were eight-week-old brothers who refused to be separated.

“Tucker was this tiny little nugget and he started kneading on my face and purring,” Webster told The Dodo.

As the day went on Webster could not stop thinking about the cats:

“I just felt like those cats are special. I was like, ‘I just have to go get them.'”

Webster couldn’t imagine separating the siblings, so they were adopted together!

“I’m allergic to cats, and definitely shouldn’t have cats,” Webster admitted, “[but] the mental health benefits outweigh having terrible allergies.”

The cats quickly made themselves comfortable; they enjoyed their new perfect life, and they were so happy to always have each other.

“These guys are best friends,” Webster observed. “They sleep together and groom each other.”

Tucker and Finley had a lot to be glad for, but their favorite thing by far was the food.

These two kitties are total foodies. Eventually Webster had to create a new exercise routine for the cats to complete just before dinner so that they could stay in shape.

“Finley is the athletic one of the duo,” Webster shared. “He loves to play fetch with his mousie and I’ll chuck it and he’ll bring it back.”

Eventually, the new workout became so routine that the cats associated the mice with food. They would bring their mousies to be played with right before dinner time.

After the cats had settled into their new routine, Webster decided to get an automatic feeder.

“I got them the feeder so they could have some dry food throughout the day and it would portion it out,” Webster explained. “It’s on a timer, too. So maybe they wouldn’t wake me up at 5 in the morning.”

It seemed like a win-win. The cats were highly skeptical when they met their new source of food.

“When I first set it up they got freaked out because it made a weird noise,” Webster recalled. “And Finley walked away with his tail puffed up.”

The situation quickly changed when the cats realized what the little robot was for. When they saw that it was a new supply of food, they felt like they were in heaven.

They even offered gifts to the machine!

Webster woke up one morning to find a little mousie resting inside the cats’ bowl. “They used to bring me mousies. Now they bring the food robot mousies.”

Of course, Webster thought this was hilarious and uploaded the picture with the perfect caption: “My cats don’t need me anymore.”

Maybe they don’t need their human, but Tucker and Finley will always want their cuddles. Robots can’t fill that role – not yet, anyway.

Webster could never have guessed that one visit with the kitties would lead to such an adventure, but wouldn’t have it any other way.
