The number one rule of getting a pet is to be responsible.
Responsible not only in terms of providing food and water but also grooming them, vaccinations, and attention.
In short, take care of them.
The story of Ares, an abandoned cat, is a great reminder of why people need to be responsible if they want to own a pet.
Ares’ story
Ares had a home before.
He was an indoor cat with his family, but when they had children that changed.
His humans were scared he might scratch the kids so they decided to kick Ares out.
They still cared for him even while he was outside but when they decided to move, they left Ares behind.
They just abandoned him.
Fortunately, the neighbors decided to provide him with food and water.
But they observed that Ares started to get sick.
His eyes were swollen and his face was bleeding.
The story broke the hearts of rescuers from Cats of San Bernardino.
So, they followed him and chased him.
Finally, they got him and fed him.
Ares received immediate medication from Cats of San Bernardino.
He started to play with other cats after a few months.
A soft heart for his rescuers
He is a sweet cat who always loves to kiss his rescuer.
Seven months passed and no one had yet qualified to be Ares’ forever family.
Then, a perfect mom came for Ares.
