We all know the mild thrum of excitement we feel when we send our kids out for picture day at their school.
We hope it goes well and that the photographer actually manages to work a smile out of them, or at least avoids snapping their pictures mid-eye-roll.
One mom, Emma Roberts, sent her kids off to school on picture day looking forward to seeing the results later.
The cat decided to tag along.
When she received the pictures, she was anticipating getting cute and adorable photos of her kids.
She found another photo.
Aside from her two daughters’ photos, she also got a photo of their adventurous cat Ziggy, four years old.
It was one of the funniest things and she was left in stitches after finding out about the cat’s shenanigans.
10-year-old Megan and 7-year-old Chloe both attend the Drury Primary School in Flintshire, North Wales.
Apparently, their cat does, too.
Or, at least he does from time to time.
On picture day, Ziggy had decided to go after his sisters who were on their way to school.
When it was finally time to take the photos, the cat was also invited to pose in front of the camera.
Ziggy was definitely prepared for it!
As it turned out, the cat was known for roaming the school grounds on a regular basis.
He loves to tail Megan and Chloe and stays around the school area throughout the day.
However, Emma did not expect that the cat would become a part of the school and even get a photo of his own.
“When young Chloe handed her the letter, she expected to find the girl’s photos but found Ziggy’s printed images instead. Chloe handed the letter to me and I expected it to be her photos. But then when I looked I was just in floods of laughter and so were the other mums standing by me,” the woman shared.
Ziggy is a handsome boy.
Emma asked her daughter what happened at school that day, her eyes in tears after laughing so much.
“I asked her what had gone on and she said he just jumped on the chair. He didn’t need any encouragement, he just got up there for a photo. The school has just accepted him and he goes there at any opportunity. He’s there every day. He sleeps on the headmaster’s desk, on piles of books and he goes into every classroom…The kids see him at school and as soon as you go to pick them up you can hear kids talking about him,” Emma added.
Ziggy’s got a mind of his own.
Even the headmaster already accepted the cat as a part of the student body.
He makes a pretty awesome mascot.
Well, it sounds like Ziggy is well on his way to a comfy tenure at his hometown primary school, and they’ll be lucky to have him!
