But what’s so intriguing about it, you may ask?

Well, Comet is a horse!

Louis’ owner, Emma Massingale, is a professional horse trainer from North Devon, England. Louis would often accompany her to the barn to “help” her with her work. By all accounts, it didn’t take long for the social Siamese to become acquainted with a few horsy pals.

“He started just following me to the stable and walking along the walls or fences, nudging horses with his head,” Massingale told Love Meow. “Then he started to jump on their backs and sit there or jump on and then off the other side to get somewhere.”

The horse-loving kitty quickly grew close to one of the horses in particular— a calm-natured Liberty horse named Comet. Together, they became the best of pals, with Comet even allowing his fluffy friend to ride on his back!

Louis and Comet are a dynamic duo. You can usually catch them wandering together and soaking up the buffet of natural scents. Forested areas are their favorites. They cross bridges and walk along streams before it’s finally time to head home.

“Sometimes we ride together in the arena, and other times out and about. And sometimes Louis and his brother Remi will ride together,” Massingale told Love Meow.

“Comet and Louis seem to be a good combo. If he wants the horse to stop, he bites the pony’s mane. It’s crazy but funny to watch.”

“If Louis gets bored he just jumps off, but he seems to love it as he stays up there for ages.”

According to Massingale, Louis is quite the character, something Comet definitely seems to appreciate. The adorable Siamese was adopted into the family when Massingale fell in love with him at her friend’s house. “His owner then went through a separation, and she couldn’t keep Louis so I, of course, said I would have him,” Massingale recalled.

In the end, it looks like everything worked out purrfectly for Louis.

Now, he has the opportunity to explore the world with his best horse-friend and come home to mom and enjoy some cuddles.
