Although some people like going to the salon, for others it can be a stressful experience. Sharp objects near your head, awkward small talk, and the small chance that you will look worse than before, are all elements that can invoke anxiety in salon clients.

And that’s exactly where Betty Boo comes in!

Betty Boo is a friendly tabby who was abandoned as a kitten. When she was 2 months old, she was found by Chris Guglielmi, a hairstylist from Melbourne, Australia, who immediately took her in.

Three years after adopting Betty, Chris decided to open BABAR salon. As you can probably imagine, Betty Boo was excited to help.

Equipped with her very own Instagram account and blog, Betty Boo has taken on the purrfessional role of salon assistant, helping clients relax by giving them lots of hugs and snuggles!

If you get to the salon early and are stuck waiting for your appointment— no worries! Betty is there to keep you company.

The salon is loaded with chairs, couches and perches, but still, Betty prefers the warmth of a client’s lap. Cuddling and socializing make Betty happy, and the customers are grateful to have her too.

As a cat, Betty knows that water and baths can be a stressful experience. That’s why she always gives extra care to those who are forced to get wet.

Betty spends every day at the salon getting loads of cuddles and plenty of cat naps. For her, back rubs are just another perk of the job.

Betty’s work can be exhausting. Sometimes she even falls asleep! …But clients usually don’t have the heart to wake her.

Sooooo cozy.

If Betty feels you aren’t truly appreciating the fruits of her labor, she will not hesitate to give you ‘the look’…

Luckily, it’s still pretty easy to get back on her good side.

At Chris and Betty’s salon, no client goes uncuddled.

And Betty happily accepts tips in the form of head scratches and cat treats.

Betty always makes sure every client gets their fix!
