Our pets have their preferences in terms of a cozy bed for them to nap on. Some may prefer sleeping on the cold, tiled floor, an expensive bed that was exclusively bought for them, or any spot beside you or a furry friend.
This cat chose an unusual spot to take a nap.
Farina the cat and Maeby the Siberian husky are best buds. You can see multiple videos on the internet where they cuddle together. Cats are more active during the night; therefore, you can find them snoozing a lot during the daytime. Farina has found herself a comfortable spot to sleep during the day – on top of Maeby’s fur.
Perhaps Maeby’s soft fur is warm and comfy enough for Farina to choose it exclusively for herself. Huskies are considered stubborn pack dogs, and they only follow who they see as a leader figure. However, Maeby could not get herself to oppose what Farina wants.
In exchange for a quick nap on Maeby’s fur, Farina first pays her with a massage.
Farina would never sleep on Maeby’s fur for free. First, Farina kneads her paws on Maeby’s coat before crashing her face on top of it, just like we do when we want our pillows perfectly soft before sleeping.
However, the kneading of a cat also means something else. Whenever they knead their paws on a surface, it means that they want to mark territory or claim something as theirs. Regardless of Farina’s display of domination, one could say it also counts as a kind massage.
Luckily, Maeby does not see it like that. Judging by Maeby’s expressions, she does not mind letting Farina do what she wants. It looked like she enjoyed every bit of it.
After the quick massage, Farina positioned herself on a perfect spot on Maeby’s body, and both of them enjoyed their nap. Seeing them peacefully snoozing, you could say that nothing could beat their unusual, cuddly friendship.
The pair received a lot of love from the online community.
The adorable and heartwarming video of Maeby and Farina circulated the internet. Their video gained over two million views. Another of Maeby and Farina’s video was featured on Rumble Viral’s YouTube channel five years ago, racking up almost the same number of views.
If cats and dogs could do it, then it is not impossible for other animals.
If you think cats and dogs will never get along, then this cat-dog pair should prove you wrong. Aside from cats and dogs, we have seen unusual bonds with animals whether they are from the wild, or domesticated. Though it is not common to see these types of friendship, it is something to cherish when you see one.
Everyone needs their nap buddy.
