Animals are such funny creatures. That includes those that live inside the house as well as the wild kind found outdoors. Especially for people with cats, they’re constantly entertained. Sure, kitties sleep about 16 hours a day but when they’re awake, the game is on.
A unique connection
You know, a lot of people think that animals of different species don’t get along. But that’s just not true. Of course, some dogs and cats fight and sometimes, they chase squirrels and mice. But nature isn’t always so cruel.
Nature at its best
Most of the time, if people would just let animals be, they’d discover how well they actually get along. That includes a wild deer and a domesticated cat. As a pet owner, you might think you need to protect your kitty but you probably don’t.
Rescuing a wild animal
Here’s a prime example. A family rescued a baby deer. He became so comfortable around humans that it wasn’t long before he was wearing a dog collar and relaxing on the sofa inside the house. Sure, he’d go outside too but he preferred to be around his humans.
An unlikely friendship
This same family has a beautiful yellow and white cat. Considering the deer was wild, they weren’t too sure if they’d do okay together. But what happened, and quickly, took all of them by surprise. They became friends.
A viral video
The connection between this deer and cat is so remarkable that the family uploaded a video of them on social media. It’s become so popular that currently, it has just under four million views. At the same time, a lot of people have commented on the wonderful interaction they have with each other.
Grooming habits
Although the deer and cat often snuggle up together, it’s their grooming habits that leave everyone in awe. You know cats, they frequently lick themselves clean. Well, this kitty felt it was her responsibility to do the same for her new friend.
But it gets better
Not only does this cat keep the deer clean but he does the same for her. When watching the video, you see the kitty making sure her friend is nice and clean. In response, the deer turns his head and begins to groom the cat. It’s sweet and hysterical.
Got to get the tail
After the cat finishes her job, she lays down on the bed next to the deer. But he’s not done. Apparently, the kitty’s tail is still dirty. So, being such a good friend, he keeps grooming it. In the background, you can hear a woman praising him for his good deed.
Don’t forget the ears and face
Probably one of the funniest parts of the video is when the deer decides the cat’s face is dirty. With his big tongue, he goes to work. You can hear a lot of slurping sounds as he makes sure he doesn’t miss a single spot. The cat’s loving every second of it.
Soaking wet
By the time the deer finishes grooming the kitty, she’s soaking wet. The entire top of her head is covered with saliva. But at least she’s super clean.
