The owner was super proud of the work that he’d done putting up the fence. So he decided to post about it. And his dog decided to show the world just how good this fence was.
Being able to let your dog roam in the yard is a real gamechanger.
All of a sudden, a lot of the burden of pet ownership is eased. Sure, you should still take your dog on walks, but if you’re tired, you can just let them play in the yard.
One dog owner decided that it was time to make his yard safe for Stella, his dog. So one day, he got down to the busy business of putting up a fence.
It took him most of the day, but eventually, he was done.
When he had finished, he looked at the fence with pride. Then he decided to post it onto his YouTube channel.
“Yup, just completed fixing this fence,” the owner said, slowly panning across the length of the construction.
“Pretty proud of it I’d have to say,” he continued.
Then he basked in his achievement. There was no way that Stella could get past this barrier, right?
Then Stella ran up towards the fence.
The owner looked forward to seeing his dog realize that she couldn’t get out.
Stella ran to the very end of the fence and without much effort leaped over.
In less than a second, the owner realized that all his hard work had been for nothing.
Taken aback, the owner took a moment to say anything. Then he let out a solemn, “Dammit.”
The video cut out there. Presumably, the owner then chased Stella down and started tearing up the fence and planning to make the structure actually dogproof this time.
But the owner could still appreciate the comedy of the moment.
He uploaded the video to his YouTube channel, where it soon went viral. To date, it has gained over 5.9 million views. It also has more than 13,000 likes and 400 comments. People have been saying things like this:
And this isn’t Stella’s only funny video.
Later on, the owner uploaded another gem.
This video began with the dog staring through a fence. This one was definitely large enough to keep her in.
On the other side of the fence was another “dog.” Most people could tell that this dog was actually a statue.
But Stella was convinced that this was another living, breathing animal. So she started barking at it.
Stella was a little confused when this other dog didn’t react.
So she tried to sneak under the gate of the fence. Luckily, she was wearing a leash, so she wouldn’t be getting to the other side this time around.
Eventually, the owner had to drag Stella away from this statue.
There are other popular dog fence jumping videos on YouTube, but none are quite as popular as Stella’s.
But one other video really stands out.
In this video, a whippet stands in front of a four-foot fence. And suddenly the whippet is in the air, flying over the top of the obstacle.
Then the dog lands smoothly on the ground.
What’s really amazing about this video is that the whippet didn’t get a running jump. He just leaped on the spot, and that was enough to get him over the fence!
