Well someone’s not in the mood. It may have been just a few minutes but Rodney the Boxer is not happy about being left in the car. He wanted to go with his mommy! That’s the reason why he rode along!

Just look at this boy’s face. That has got to be the biggest pout ever seen on a dog’s face. Upset is not even the word for it. He is disappointed.

It was 50 degrees out on a beautiful day in March when this handsome Boxer from Oregon was left inside his mom’s BMW. No one knows the reason why mom told him to stay in the car or what mom did at the yard sale, but it certainly brought out the rain clouds on this boy’s day.

His eyebrows are crossed, face scrunched up with his lips in a full pout.

Now it doesn’t seem like mom left him inside with nothing. Pretty sure the car’s air conditioning was on for Rodney. As mom comes back, she finds her dog in the driver’s seat, sulking about without so much as a glance her way. Poor guy.

“Rodney? Rodney. Scoot over. What’s the matter? Are you upset with me for leaving you in the car?”

The sad Boxer moves to the passenger seat keeping his eyes forward intentionally avoiding his mom’s gaze. He sits straight and proud, his head held high, chest out. Rodney’s got the attitude to back up that kick ass collar of his.

Mom calls out his name several times, her tone getting sweeter with each “Rodney”. She then moves her camera in front of Rodney’s face, and what does he do? He looks elsewhere!

Uh-oh, mom. Better make it up to him.

After what seemed like an eternity, Rodney gives a sideways glance which makes his mom happy, but the moment she reacts, he goes back to staring straight ahead with his face still at full pout. Come on, big guy!

Rodney looks like he workouts out. Look at those shoulders and that chest!

He is a well bred Boxer. This handsome breed can be very energetic. They are playful and alert, originally bred as guard dogs but today, find themselves as family dogs, willing to protect their humans and will meet threats without fear.

Boxers need lots of exercise. The square jaw is only a mask that hides a sweetness laced with a sense of humor that families love. One of the reasons why they are among the top breeds for those looking for a dog! Chin up, Rodney!

They’ve also been described as headstrong.

Well yes, look at this boy. That is one proud Boxer. Wonder how long he sulked and ignored his mom… But then again, knowing mom she may have just gotten him a treat and fed him extra back home. He looks well loved!

But mom knew what she was doing! Dogtime says,

“Boxers should not be left outdoors for extended periods of time. Their short nose doesn’t cool hot air efficiently in the summer, and their short coat doesn’t keep them warm in the winter.”

See? Come on, Rodney. Mom just did what was best for you. She did it out of concern. Out of love!

Plus, how many good boys get to ride in a nice BMW? Don’t worry, mom will take you some place nice to cool off. Who knows, it might even be better than some boring yard sale! Smile, Rodney! It’s a lovely day!
