In the midst of COVID, we are trying to find ways to stay fit at home. Some people resort to special diets that restrict them to only eating blocks of parmesan cheese and bacon (keto diet, anyone?), while others try and get outside to stay active. If there was ever a time to try and work out from home, it’s now!
Yoga might be the perfect at-home mobility and workout routine around.
We all sort of know what yoga is. You can sorta be into yoga and just enjoy it for the community and stretching, or you can REALLY be into it, and it’s literally a part of your personality (almost like being a vegan). Regardless of how into it you are, we can all appreciate and recognize the benefits it has.
As one video shows, it might not just be humans who understand the benefits of yoga either!
One recent video shows just how interesting yoga can be for a dog! Tindra is a boxer who decided to get in on some workout action and has since become open of the worlds leading yoga experts (for dogs, at least).
Tindra walked in on her owner doing something strange one day.
While doing her hourly patrol around the house, Tindra, the boxer, stumbled upon her mom laying on the floor on a towel in the strangest position. For the pup, it was probably quite a strange thing! The floor is usually her domain, and seeing her human mom having fun on it was quite a new development!
Like any good dog, Tindra couldn’t let her mom play on the floor all alone!
Dogs don’t like to be apart from their humans for very long, and this seemed like a perfect opportunity to get in some cuddle and bonding time with mom. As her mom sat in an incredibly unstable position, Tindra moved in for cuddles.
Victoria, the woman, was sitting in a literal split and extended out in front of her, quite a precarious position.
Of course, it’s in this position that her dog found her. To Tindra, this was basically an open invitation to come and play! Tindra lept on top of her mom’s head and starting trying to imitate what her mom was doing!
A dog doing yoga?
Look, we understand that Tindra was just looking to play, but she was having a blast learning some new mobility moves! Maybe it wasn’t just Victoria who realized she needed some exercise and activity, Tindra did as well! Who needs to go on a walk each day when you can just pop on over with mom and get in a quick yoga stretch?
The short video has 2.4 million views, and for good reason!
We can all relate to our dogs wanting to be with us, even when it’s not the most convenient. As this video shows, they don’t care at all! They will sit in the most uncomfortable positions if it means they can be snuggled up with us – it’s part of why we love them!
