Dog owners will tell you that their faithful hounds can act just like children sometimes.
Dogs are often sweet and cute and cuddly, but like kids, they aren’t always on their best behavior. If your dog has ever gone wild in your home, messed on the floor, or torn up toys and pillows, then you know what we mean.
These moments can be frustrating. But sometimes, they lead to funny circumstances that are always moments to cherish and adore.
But how you deal with these acting-out moments is so important with dogs, because…
Even the youngest puppies know when they make a mistake. They are often smarter than they appear and know when something they did is going to upset their owners.
So it’s always a good idea to let them know that they didn’t do the right thing. Just make sure you recognize it when the dogs say sorry.
And that’s exactly what happened with this cute boxer.
The boxer, Tiger, is a pup who ate an entire loaf of French bread one day. The owners who caught him then pulled out their camera to record the entire incident.
You can just see the moment that this boxer felt guilty after being caught in the sticky situation.
The scene of the crime looked intense…
Plates were on the ground, mess spread out everywhere, there was no way Tiger was going to hide what he did.
You can tell that the pup knew that he was in trouble as soon as the camera was on him. Look at how his head was down and he looked directly at the camera with an expression of guilt.
He moved to a corner and tried to hide, but Tiger knew he had to deal with the situation.
Tiger’s owners led him to the scene of the crime, AKA, their living room.
One of them pointed to the crumbs on the floor to make sure that Tiger knew what was going on. You can hear Tiger’s mom say:
“Mommy loves you but you’re a bad dog.”
She then told Tiger to sit and pointed at him. Tiger knew what to do and sat down and bowed his head. It was like he was showing how ashamed he was for what he did.
It can be hard to shame your dog when they misbehave, especially when they act like Tiger did. But…
It was necessary for Tiger’s owners to address the dog’s behavior. It had to have been hard to be stern with their pet, but expressing disapproval is how dogs are trained to follow proper good boy behaviors.
Tiger’s papa had more to say.
“You went to school to fix this.”
Tiger looked at the camera as Tiger’s papa continued.
“Someone was teaching you not to do this stuff. We pay good money for you to not screw up. No fighting and no eating things that you don’t need to eat… But you stinking do.”
The owners continue to lecture Tiger, who to his credit, was sitting patiently and listening.
Viewers could enjoy how cute the dog was being. They knew that Tiger was being bad, but it is just so hard to stay mad at him, especially when Tiger was so willing to listen.
Sure, they were a little peeved, but they still love him so much!
