Anyone who has owned a dog knows that they come with their own little human-like personalities, and often that includes a hilarious bout of stubbornness. Although dogs are normally quite happy to do whatever their owners are doing, the temptation to do that one thing that they know they’re not allowed to do can sometimes be too much to resist.
This was the case for a dog in Oklahoma who was determined to visit her neighbor’s house – and a hilarious video shows proof that she was not too happy about her owner coming to pick her up.
“Come on let’s go,” dog mom Brittany says as she pulls her car into her neighbor’s driveway.
Her boxer Daisy-May has been frequenting her neighbor’s house on a daily basis – and when it’s time to go, the stubborn little fur baby never wants to leave. Knowing that Daisy is safe with her neighbor, Brittany will often leave her pooch to play next door until dinner time. She then drives round in her car to pick Daisy up – much to her distress.
As Daisy gets into the car, it’s clear to see that the pooch is not happy, and she hangs her head and keeps her tail between her legs as they begin to drive. Brittany then begins to jokingly scold the pup, and Daisy’s reaction is too funny. The stubborn pooch huffs angrily and whines repeatedly as her beloved neighbor’s house gets further and further away.
“You know you’re not supposed to be here right?” Brittany tells her pooch. “And yet you come over here every day.”
In response, Daisy hangs her head in shame. It’s as if she knows exactly what Brittany is saying to her!
“This isn’t your house,” Brittany continues.”You need to stay home with Mac; he’s your friend. You leave him there by himself all the time, every day. And then we have to come get you when its time to eat dinner.”
We can only assume that Mac is Daisy’s dog brother who she isn’t too fond of! As soon as Brittany mentions his name, Daisy throws back her head in frustration as if to say, “Here we go, talking about Mac again.” But Brittany continues to bring up Mac, saying:
“Daisy I’m talking to you. Why do you do it every day? You leave Mac alone by himself and then you get mad at us when we come get you. Why don’t you like staying home?”
The hilarious pooch continues to hang her head. It appears that she’s conflicted over the situation and is feeling a mix of shame over being caught out and defiance over wanting to go back to her neighbor’s house and not hang out with Mac.
“We like it when you’re home. We miss you!” Brittany concludes. “Just say you’re sorry.”
At this, Daisy gives another whine – but we’re not sure if it’s an apology or a bit of backchat.
Brittany posted the comical clip onto YouTube and it ended up raking up an impressive 2.1 million views, as people couldn’t stop laughing about the stubborn pooch. Brittany explained in the caption: “We go pick her up every day and she isn’t happy about it. She lets us know too! She has one heck of a personality!”
