Uno was among the first group of dogs rescued in this massive operation.

Their goal was to save these beagles from the Envigo Breeding Facility, a breeding laboratory.

Nestled in the serene environment of Rolling Hills, Guernsey State Park in Southeastern Wyoming, the ranch offered a peaceful haven for these animals.
While the aim was to find forever homes for these dogs, Uno’s story took a different turn.
Right after the rescue, John had to isolate Uno from the others due to his loudness.
Initially unsure and nervous in his cage, Uno gradually began to trust John, realizing he was finally in a safe place.
Gradually, Uno started to open up to John and his family.
He became John’s shadow, eagerly accompanying him on farm chores, always the first to jump onto the trailer or cart for field trips.
Uno seemed to have found his calling, enjoying his new responsibilities.
A memorable moment came when John took Uno to a field, a first-time experience for the beagle.
The joy was evident as Uno frolicked on the grass, and in a touching gesture, he raised his front legs, asking John to lift him.
This act solidified Uno’s place in the Ramer family.
With each passing day, Uno transformed into a completely different dog.
