Pomeranians and hot springs are two words you probably never thought would work together, but here we are.
Rudy and Pongki are out for a little break, and these Poms in South Korea get the best treatment from their owner. Hardworking adults don’t always get to visit hot springs. These two are spoiled.
Their full names seem to be Samba Fairy Rudy and Orgk-orgk-er Pong Ki.
Both dogs are hesitant at first but it is Pongki who lets her curiosity get the better of her. She dips a paw or two, walks around a bit, before finally getting into the water.
Good job, little dog!
That adorable face looks perplexed. She’s not sure why the water’s warm or why she’s in it. Rudy still hasn’t budged from her spot, staring at her owner with her nose twitching.
Get in the water, Rudy!
Well her human tries to coax the little dog to get in but Rudy stares off until the camera moves back to Pongki. The comfortable Pom plops herself down in the warm water, thoroughly enjoying the moment.
Rudy gets a snack in an attempt to bribe her to get in the water. She doesn’t seem to be in the mood for anything!
But the temptation of food is too much even for the aloof Pom. Rudy eventually starts snacking on the treat, more interested in filling her tummy than bathing in warm water.
So what’s a human to do?
Pongski gets all the attention now. She’s wrapped in a towel with her head comfortably enveloped in another one as her human slowly bathes her, using a palm to scoop water on to the dog’s body.
Someone’s getting sleepy.
“I love how you didn’t pick them up and force them in the hot spring, instead you allowed to get comfortable and come in themselves!” says Starry night in the comments.
And… Pongski’s asleep.
Rudy, after a long time, finally finds herself paws deep in the water. But that face says she’s not entirely convinced of why she’s in her situation. So her human once again tries to get all her fur in the water.
Didn’t work.
So the very next day, Rudy finds herself in the arms of her human, getting bathed but not looking happy about it.
Apparently, Rudy has dry skin and the warm water was supposed to help and do wonders for her. But it just looks like the dog would rather be doing something else instead of being there.
Hot springs, the real ones, are definitely super hot and dogs will get burns like humans when not careful. These indoor springs are much better since temperatures can be regulated.
And the dogs’ owner is with them the whole time.
Pongski and Rudy had themselves some relaxing time in there. Well, Pongski at least. Rudy seemed to want to snack more than getting her fur all wet. No different from some humans.
