How many times have we watched on the news about incredible friendships between humans and animals that left us feeling all warm inside? Stories about people and their pets that we could only be envious of as we would have loved to have experienced something similar.
Well, today’s story is one of those that can bring a smile to your face within seconds and will have you saying “aww” throughout the duration of the video.
This is the story of Hazel, the most adorable baby girl you have ever seen, and of her loyal sidekick, pet-husky, Rio. Hazel and Rio aren’t only approximately of the same “age” but they are also each other’s best friend.
As you can see in the photos Hazel and Rio are inseparable, they do everything together, they are practically behaving like twins would normally do. And, oh, boy, aren’t they the cutest!
“These two little babies are sitting together, petting each other, getting to know each other”, explained Hazel’s mom to Dodo.
Hazel’s parents really wanted to give their daughter a friend and on purpose, they decided to bring home the husky puppy, Rio, so they would be of a similar age and would eventually grow up next to each other.
Hazel and Rio are practically siblings, with a very strong bond between them, and as her mom says, we might never really understand it. The two of them are really like a unit, doing everything together, from snacking to playing to napping.
They even share each other’s “beds” and they are looking just so hilarious and adorable at the same time!
“I would say they’re learning how to share as snack time is constant between the two of them,” said Hazel’s mom.
Hazel seems really happy with her friend, Rio, and you can see them imitating each other from time to time. They even share the same toys and accessories!
According to Hillspet, Siberian Huskies are very intelligent animals that can be very independent, but they also thrive on human company. And as you can see, Rio seems pretty dependent and attached to his “sister”, Hazel, following her example nearly constantly.
Hazel is just starting now to walk and being more conscious of the space around her, which enables this cute duo to only have much more fun with each other, exploring their surroundings.
Hazel and Rio’s video was posted on YouTube and it immediately went viral with more than 10 million views, while thousands were those who decided to leave a sweet message for the two of them.
One wrote, “The baby mimicking the husky’s vocals were simply adorable!”, while another said, “This is so cute, that baby girl has a friend for life”.
Let’s hope that they will have many more enjoyable adventures together and they will remain as close as they are to each other now. You only get few good friends in your life if you are lucky!
