What is your security blanket? Or better yet, who?
For most people, it would be their finances. Investments, that paycheck, businesses, and even material possessions. But that’s in the adult world. Kids are quite different. You’re looking at the first obvious answer. Mom. Then it could be a favorite toy, TV show, random object… But in the case of this eleven month old toddler, it’s her Siberian Husky.
That’s a cute security blanket.
It’s that darn vacuum cleaner that scares her off. Just like any toddler, she makes her way to dad to see what’s going on. After all, chores and responsibilities aren’t part of her world yet. And what is that strange looking contraption?
She’s barely made it to the machine when it switches on with that familiar whirring, whistling sound. The little girl spins on on her tiny heels using the wall for support as she toddles back to her faithful dog who, this whole time, was just standing by the wall behind her.
Curly locks need hugs!
She wraps her arms around the husky’s neck while continuing to watch her father operate that odd looking toy. Now her dog may be her security blanket but look at the husky’s face. Not sure if curious or also afraid…
The toddler lets out a few crying sounds but maybe it’s the dog’s presence that made her stop.
“The truth is, the husky is just as scared of the vacuum. But he’s being brave for his little human.”
Said a viewer.
Huskies are normally very curious, getting themselves into mischief or pulling a Houdini and disappearing altogether. Not this one. This dog was just as curious as his tiny hooman and if he was scared, he tried his best not to show it. Tried.
It’s a good thing this breed is loyal.
They stick by their family’s side no matter what, though instead of helping them get out of sticky situations, they are the ones who usually need some help. It’s not uncommon for huskies to run off and get lost while having the whole neighborhood searching for them.
But this toddler feels safe with him.
It’s adorable how he just lets the child run to him and grab him around his furry neck. He even moves a bit so she can get closer to him. Never mind his wide eyed expression at the sound of the vacuum cleaner…
Another viewer commented,
“The dog was probably like” WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?! When the baby ran towards him.”
To be fair, in a dog’s world, they don’t use such technology. It’s all love and games and more love without caring much for cleanliness. This child must have thought her husky would go on and scare the noisy machine away, but standing his ground works just fine!
Don’t underestimate a husky though.
They are pretty fast learners owing it perhaps to their curiosity. Those stunning good looks add to their hilarious antics but give them a few weeks and they’ll surprise you with something they’ve picked up.
Who knows? Maybe a few days after this event with the vacuum cleaner, this dog went on to sniff and poke through the machine just to show his toddler friend that he’s always got her back. It’s possible. Maybe.
