There’s always going to be a question of how your animal will react to the arrival of a new baby in the house, especially if your fur baby is used to being your one and only priority. With dogs in particular, it can be a long process before you may be able to trust them around your baby – but when that day comes, it will likely be a beautiful relationship.
But no relationship is sweeter than the connection between one Goldendoodle pooch and his baby best friend, and we can’t get enough of these adorable pics and videos. These two truly have an unbreakable bond, and we just had to share it with everyone.
Samson the six-year-old Goldendoodle lives in Westport, Connecticut, with his human parents, Jessica and Alex, Theo the baby, and two more Goldendoodle brothers. His family has been sharing their adorable snaps onto a special doggy and baby Instagram account called Samsonthedood, but things only recently took off when a video of Theo cuddling up with Samson went viral.
The video was posted in early April 2020 and shows Theo snuggling up with Samson as if he’s a giant teddy bear. The sweet little guys looks so cozy and content, and we can’t tell who’s happier to be getting some snuggles! Unsurprisingly, the video became a viral sensation, with over 484,000 views, and the pooch and his best friend became internet celebrities. The family’s account quickly grew in popularity and currently has a 700,000 following.

Speaking of their viral success, Alex and Jess suggested that the world’s recent struggles with the coronavirus may be the reason behind why so many people love their account. They told Fox News:
“I think people just want to see heartwarming stuff these days as a break from what’s going on in reality.”
Apparently, it’s a regular occurrence for Theo to cuddle one of the pooches, but he always splits his time up fairly between the three! He’s been snuggling up with “one of the three pups for a 15-30 minute nap a day,” since he was around three months old. Samson has also always been a cuddly kind of dog.
“Samson used to cuddle his bear,” Alex and Jess said. “Sweet to see him cuddle our baby now.”
The family has now shared lots more cuddling videos of Leo and Samson, and we could spend all day watching them! We’ve never wanted a baby and a puppy so much in our whole lives.
