Crawling babies are just too cute. They typically start anywhere from six to ten months old. That familiar rocking back and forth on all fours, sometimes looking to be something between a push up and a belly flop could very well be the start of that phase. Let them roll on those round tummies!
When this happens, the baby gets to lift that head up. It’s a great way to strengthen and develop the neck, shoulders, arms, and back. When those legs move, it works the muscles in the lower body. It’s legit bodybuilding.
Plus it’s entertaining!
This baby girl is discovering the joys of crawling. And who better to support her than her best friend? This eight year old female chocolate Labrador Retriever has taken the role of motivator for this lesson. She’s a very patient teacher.
America’s most popular breed is friendly, loyal, and so full of love.
This good natured girl is well trained and has been around people since she was a puppy. She knows a multitude of voice commands and is a very balanced, well rounded dog just perfect for a family. There are so many wonderful benefits to having a dog around with the baby but of course there are lots of precautions to be done.
Consult with your pediatrician regarding your baby’s health and if it’s a good idea to have the dog around, and of course, talk to the veterinarian. It is an animal no matter how cute they may be. We’re talking health concerns here. This family seemed to have got it right.
Just look at how their girls are interacting!
Look at that baby girl’s face! She is determined to make it across that floor just to get to her friend.
The sweet dog has her eyes fixed on the tiny human as if to say, come to me, you can do it! She’s one strong baby. Look at those arms push her whole body up from the floor. And those legs can kick too!
She takes a page out of the great Michael Jordan’s book, sticking her tongue out in her determination to succeed. This tiny lady is making great progress by using her knees and thighs to push herself forward, inching even closer to her furry friend. Go on!
After a few happy gurgles, she finally makes it! What does she get in return for her efforts? A sweet, sticky Labrador kiss!
“Dog waiting patiently and then couldn’t resist the cuteness and had to come closer to praise her.”
Said one observant viewer.
Labradors may be known for having lots of energy, after all they were bred to be working companions. They require lots of exercise but this good girl here maintains her composure just waiting for her human friend to come closer. They really are a gentle breed!
The hooman puppy did a good job!
That must have been one of the internet’s sweetest moments. This baby girl had all the perseverance in that adorable frame of hers to crawl towards her best friend just for a chocolatey kiss. It is one of the best things in this world. Combine a lovely kiss with chocolate? Why not.
