If you currently own or have ever had a pet, then you know just how exceptional animals are. They love unconditionally, make you laugh, and they’re great at cuddling. But there’s something else amazing about animals … they can teach humans some very important lessons.
As you’ll see with these 35 examples, all kinds of animals can teach people the value of teamwork. In life, humans often compete against each o1ther or feel that only their opinion matters. But as these creatures demonstrate, working together is a much better solution.
1. Stranger than fiction
For starters, it’s not very often when you see a snake and a rat that happen to be best friends. And if you do, you wouldn’t expect them to help each other out of an awkward situation. But that’s exactly what this snake is doing … giving his buddy a hand … or an entire body.
2. Love at first sight
From the minute this dog and duck met, they became inseparable. Still to this day, they always have each other’s back. This is what you call cuteness overload.
3. There in time of need …
… even if it’s only to help the cat get a drink. What an awesome sibling. Just imagine what this dog would do for her kitty in a real emergency?
4. Staying warm
What are animals supposed to do when the outside temperature drops? This, of course. While it’s hard to see, there’s an adorable cat nestled in the middle of these kids.
5. Four times the effort
How awesome is this? Without being prompted, these four Labradors needed to figure out a way to carry a stick that was too large for one or two of them. So, they became a team.
6. Kisses for a best friend
Sometimes, teamwork only involves two parties, as in this case. It seems as though both the pup and baby deer were feeling somewhat down. So, what’s better for a pick-me-up than a little smooch.
7. Out from the cold
You might think that only the kittens benefitted here. But while the hen kept1 them warm, they also helped to keep her warm. Together, they handled the cold quite well.
8. Love the water — hate to swim
For these pups, that’s not a problem. Whenever the smaller dog wants to spend time in the water, the larger one helps out. This is what you call a trusting relationship.
9. Stars in the making
We’re not 100 percent sure what’s going on here but we don’t care. Come to find out, Stanley, the dog, and Aalya, the seal, are best friends. These too are so cute they could easily become superstars.
10. Hang on
What happens when a small dog is determined to fetch a big stick? Well, it could be something like this. Working as a team, they made it home with the prize.
11. Introducing a friend
Sometimes, it takes a to pull someone out of their shyness. So, a deer brought a friend along to show the cat that they wanted to be friends. Hopefully, it worked.
12. Best view ever
Being short has some disadvantages. As you can tell, the goat was having a hard time seeing anything on the other side of the fence. No problem…thanks to teamwork, he can now spend the entire day looking at the view.
13. Time for pampering
What are you supposed to do when you want some pampering but there’s no one there to assist? Well, you could do what this cow and cat do. You know the saying, “You scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours.”
14. Teamwork gone bad
Usually, working as a team is a good thing. But here, it looks as though these adorable kittens are using it to terrorize the family dog. What do you want to bet they all became great friends?
15. Making life better
Being home alone for hours a day isn’t fun. Instead of being miserable individually, this cat and dog joined forces to make their life so much better. This is what teamwork is all about.
16. No more bullying
There’s no place for bullying in the world. So, when other animals started to bully this little white goat, her best friend stepped in. You can bet the others aren’t messing around with her anymore.
17. A unique friendship
The best teams are diverse. Just like the friendship between this turtle and cat. They don’t care that they’re different just that they both love the warm light.
18. That’s impressive
Typically, hunting dogs can handle the cold. But when out for a jaunt, the one pup’s feet got cold. With a team mentality, these two dogs found a perfect solution.
19. Playtime
If you’ve ever visited a park as a kid without a friend, you’ve probably sat on the swing hoping that someone would come along to give you a push. Well, that’s what happened with this pup. Fortunately, a cat was there to help and we’re sure they took turns.
20. It’s not pretty…
…but it’s effective. After struggling to climb to a higher spot, the pandas put their heads together to come up with a plan. Unfortunately, this solution only benefits one of them.
21. A team of three
For this cat to get some loving from the horse, a human had to get involved. But by working as a team, they succeeded. The result … a very happy kitty.
22. Workplace teammates
One of these dogs is the Branch Manager and the other the Assistant Branch Manager. But they choose to work as teammates. That way, they can accomplish just about anything … which includes fetching sticks.
23. The story of a dog and bunny
Here’s another great example of animals playing together instead of being alone. Although this is a relatively odd combination, for them, it works. Every day, they spend time enjoying each other’s company.
24. Super sweet
There’s no way to look at this photo without feeling some sense of awe and wonder. Worried the fish wouldn’t have enough to eat, this black swan took action. Reaching into the food box, she fed the fish one by one.
25. No animal was hurt during this cleaning
Initially, you might think this dog is trying to eat the cat. But if you watch the video, you’ll see that’s not the case at all. Rather, this is their version of teamwork in keeping each other clean.
26. Once upon a time
If this cat had a book in his paws, you’d swear he was reading the sheep a story. But it just so happens that after a long discussion, the sheep decided to make the kitty an honorary member of their clan. Who cares they look nothing alike?
27. Keeping mommy company
This pandemic has been hard on everyone. Not only has it affected people but also animals. Sensing their “mom” needed some company, her sheep rallied around to lift her spirits.
28. Be still my heart
What a precious duo. Both this dog and duck needed a friend. So, they decided to create a team of two.
29. Gentle and sweet
Although these animals are still babies, they’ve already learned how important teamwork is. They give each other a lot of love and support. There’s no question they’ll grow up with a relationship that’s stronger than ever.
30. “Can I be your friend?”
From watching these two, we don’t think it took much convincing. As the story goes, this monkey visits the dog every day. While waiting for his new friend to show up, the pup sits and waits patiently.
31. Brilliant teamwork
In case you don’t know, horses, including donkeys, love playing with balls. After their ball went over the fence, they had to come up with a way to retrieve it. Working as a team, one donkey removed a slat, which allowed a second donkey to get through to the ball.
32. The great protector
This is so cool. Raising penguins isn’t for the faint of heart. To ensure their safety, the individual that owns them bought this gorgeous dog to serve as their protector.
33. A trusting relationship
This team of two has an interesting arrangement. As long as the seagull hangs around, the Beluga whale won’t eat it. Hey, no one’s judging.
34. This required some compromise
Working as a team consists of compromise. Here, the animals had to figure out a way to share their owner’s lap without causing issues. They did it and now, they’re all happy.
35. A perfect trampoline
Goats, especially babies, love to jump. Watching them is hilarious. Even funnier is watching these guys hopping all over the Great Pyrenees as though he’s a trampoline … it’s teamwork, at least from their perspective.
