Nature is indeed mysterious. And part of its mystery are the animals that don’t look like animals. From fishes that look like zombies to insects mimicking others’ appearance for survival, wildlife can truly be wild.

1. Like a cartoon character
Just look at those eyes! This puppy can easily pass as an anime character. With that look, he probably doesn’t have a hard time convincing his owner to give him treats all the time.
2. Three-headed cat
At first glance, you’d think that this cat suddenly developed two additional heads. In reality, they’re just extra clingy kittens that refuse to be away from their mom.
3. A different kind of otter
They’re trying to figure out who’s the spy among them. Looking at their reactions, it’s safe to say that the secret agent is far from being identified. He’s done an awesome job blending in.
4. Is that me?
The folds and the colors are on point. You can’t blame the pug for thinking it’s his picture.
5. He is Groot.
On second thought, he’s probably not Groot. Floof seems to be a better name for him. Woof might work for him, too.

33. See-through head
Barreleye fishes have transparent heads which greatly improve their vision. They also have tubular eyes that enable them to see objects from above.

Stareater fishes have needle-like teeth. The more you look at them, the more creepy they seem. In fact, they look like they were taken straight from a horror film.
35. What’s so scary?
Marine hatchet fish are known for their large, tubular eyes. They aren’t meant to scare people. Instead, their eyes allow them to search for food falling from above.
