It is often wondered if animals could feel complex emotions just like we humans do. These complex emotions include guilt, empathy, and even the feeling of gratitude. Scientists study this as well, seeing if there are chances that an animal could be capable of showing emotions just as well as humans do.
Although the topic is still highly debatable, people shared findings from their own pets or to other animals who they think have displayed genuine emotions and actions that we thought only we can.
1. Rats know empathy
People would never guess that even rats feel empathy towards their fellow rats. Seeing the rat try to break the cage, the researchers concluded that they indeed are capable of doing selfless acts. Hopefully, more people are like this.

2. Sweet couple
This orangutan couple spends time walking in the streets of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. They held hands like human couples, and anyone who would see this would most likely go ‘aww.’
3. Better dancer than me
While the man shows off his awesome beatboxing skills, his adorable bird joins to jam with him. His headbangs and drops accurately matches with the beat. The bird even sings a little while dancing.
4. Cuddling cats
These felines have no shame cuddling with each other in the middle of the pathway. It makes it awkward to pass by. Get a room you two!
5. Peek-a-boo
Just like a little kid who loves playing pranks, this small puppy decides to surprise his owner by hiding in a blind spot. He successfully played his peek-a-boo prank well, giving his owner a quick scare.

This dog is obviously eyeing his owner’s food, wanting to take a bite. When his owner looks at him, the dog immediately turns his head away and tries not to make eye contact. He’s pretending to be uninterested.
7. Birds play basketball too!

This dog manages to snatch a puppy away from a car driven in reverse. The driver, which is most likely their owner, was so relieved at how the big dog rescued the puppy before an unfortunate tragedy happens.

This person has the perfect yoga partner for himself. The puppy even has its own yoga mat to comfortably stretch his adorable paws with his owner. He’s the most adorable pet ever.
11. Learning to communicate
We all know for a fact that dogs can’t speak human speech, but that doesn’t mean that they do not know how to communicate. In fact, they have been communicating with us through gestures. However, this particular dog was taught to voice out by using these buttons that will speak for him.

12. At dawn we ride
This adorable corgi learned to sneak out to visit his pony friend. However, by the time his human neighbor notices, he was already sitting on the horse’s back ready to take off. They’re already out for an adventure while the woman hysterically laughs at the odd thing she just witnessed.
13. How a monkey family acts
Monkeys closely resemble humans in terms of appearance, but this video shows you the resemblance doesn’t stop there. This mother monkey was supervising his own kid and even catches him when he goes far away from her. This situation is what we normally see in every human household.
14. It was life threatening
This clever dog managed to find a way to get his owner to stay – by pretending to be sick. It was super effective. The owners paid the veterinary bill for nothing plus he got to let his owner stay with him for a day.

Cats are extremely great as mothers and they make sure that their litter is comfortable. Even when they grow up, some momma cats would still pamper them by bringing back food for them to share.
