Cats and dogs sometimes have a contentious relationship. Oftentimes, dogs are viewed as the annoying aggressors: always trying to play with the cat that just wants to be left alone.
But in this video, that whole script gets flipped. Meet the adorable kitten that wants to hunt the dog it lives with.
This little cat isn’t afraid of anything.
Over and over again while the dog just hangs out, this kitten, named Tan, stalks the dog. The dog is named Milky and he just hangs out while Tan charges him and even pounces on his face a little.
Compared to Milky, who is a Samoyed, according to the video description, Tan is truly tiny.
Milky towers over him but still doesn’t seem to want to catch Tan’s claws.
Although Tan is just playing, it really seems like the cat is preparing for one day hunting something for real. We just hope it picks on something its own size after this. Milky is running out of patience.
At times the dog leaps away, but he doesn’t seem too scared by the whole thing.
It seems like these guys have a pretty standard play routine. While Milky holds a ball in his mouth, and probably just wants to play catch, the kitten charges him. Milky then leaps out of the way just as Tan is ready to pounce.
After that, the dog settles down, keeps an eye out for any more attacks from the kitten, and the games begin again.
All in all, these two seem to be playing pretty nicely.
At this stage of the game, there isn’t much this little kitty can do to hurt this big dog. And the dog has a giant layer of fur to protect it. So even though the kitten may claw at his face a little bit, the dog doesn’t seem to mind it at all.
They both just seem pretty happy to have a playmate!
Kittens and dogs both have a lot of energy. It’s good for them to get that all out by playing together. But when it comes to toys, there seems to be some competition.

The last shot of the video shows Milky and Tan again. Only this time, they’re a bit older. You can tell because the orange cat is noticeably bigger than in the previous scenes.
But fortunately, even though time has passed, these two friends still play together and have a lot of fun.
People are so amused by the kitten’s antics – and over 1 million people have seen the video in just a couple of weeks!

Everyone needs a good playmate, even dogs and cats.
Milky and Tan have plenty of time to hang out and play throughout the years. It’s so cute to see animals from different breeds play nicely together and grow a really sweet relationship. And Tan seems to be doing a great job of learning how to hunt thanks to Milky.
