Some dogs just click right on the spot, just like Aeida and Cashew. These canines are so tightly bonded that their owners decided to make a doggy door in the fence between their homes- just in case they want to see each other. It enabled them to see each other without the need to ask permission from their humans.
Aeida became friends with the neighbors.
Nicole Ackehurst, Aeida’s owner, had no problem with that. Her family has a good relationship with the neighbors so she expected that her dog would also develop the same bond. In fact, when Aeida came into her life, she felt excited to introduce the dog to her friends next door.
Aeida developed a really strong bond with them, particularly the kids. She would often lick the face of the eldest kid and just stare at her with admiration. The youngest child, however, was her partner-in-crime. He will often drop food and wait for Aeida to pick it up and eat it.
As time went on, Aeida became so bonded with the kids that she started joining their routine.
She joins them at every chance she gets. At one point, Nicole received a Facebook message from her neighbor and she ended up laughing so hard.
Nicole shared:
“We just noticed one day Aeida had been over at Cashew’s house for a while after dinner, and soon we were sent a photo from our neighbors of Aeida sitting in their bathtub. Our neighbors said that they ran the bath, went to get the children ready, came back and there was Aeida!”
What happened was quite funny because the dog never liked taking a bath at their own home. It’s either she’s forced to get into the shower with Nicole or a groomer gets the job done.
That didn’t end there.
That wasn’t the last time the dog joined the kids in their evening bath. She actually goes to their home every single night to soak in their tub with them. You can just imagine the fun they’re having.
Nicole doesn’t worry about her precious dog bonding with the other family or dropping by unexpectedly at their home. She’s quite sure that her neighbors love having Aeida around, just like how they appreciate Cashew dropping by once in a while. The dogs are members of their families and they make sure that they feel it. They are welcome whenever they want to stay.
Nicole got Aeida when she was just little and it was certainly a love at first sight. The moment she saw the puppy’s photo, she knew that it’s the right dog for her. She was captivated by how adorable she looked as well as her personality.
And with their amusing story, it looks like she didn’t make a mistake in choosing Aeida. She’s definitely the best dog her family can have. She’s also the best dog for Cashew and the kids next door.
