Rexie’s has had a tough go a life. The 3-year-old cat was abused by his former owners as a baby which left him paralyzed and unable to use his two back legs.
But he doesn’t let any of that get him down.
“He doesn’t even know he’s handicapped,” his current owner Dasha Minerva told Bored Panda. “He does all the things other cats do. Only he’s unable to use the toilet or scratch his ears on his own. But that’s what his human is for!”
Minerva adopted Rexie after he was rescued and has been loving him ever since. She has to manually help him go to the bathroom even bought him a custom wheelchair to help him get around. That’s how much she loves him!
“He does way much better without [it.] Cats are very independent and adjust perfectly,” she said. “Rexie is more mobile and comfortable walking and running on his two feet.”
Though Rexie has a disability, he has lots of other abilities.
He’s actually become quite the model.
“And yes, Rexie is handicapped but it by no means stops him from being awesome!” says Minerva.
His face is so full of expression that he’s been dubbed as Cat-King Of Bleps. Every single picture of him is just beyond adorable.
“The outcomes are never disappointing!” Minerva says.
I mean is his face not the cutest thing ever? I’m obsessed with him!
“My personal favorite ones are those where he shows off his little tongue. Of course, it’s not like he sticks his tongue out and waits for me to take a picture,” Minerva wrote on Bored Panda.
“I’d say it’s more of a teamwork kind of thing – between a photographer and a model (in our case, a meowdel).”
Minerva does have a method for capturing these purrfectly adorable pics.
“It’s important to catch the right moment on camera for the first and do all the tongue movements possible for the latter,” she explains.
Rexie is known as a certified “heart thief” and “happiness giver” and Minerva stresses the fact that “disability does not mean inability.”
He just loves being silly and cattin’ around. And the world just loves Rexie’s silliness and catty ways right back.
Rexie has his own Facebook and Instagram accounts where he has hundreds of thousands of followers.
And they are from all over the world.
“Dis baby is a professional model!! America’s Next Top Kitty,” said one Instagram user.
