Curiosity doesn’t always kill the cat nor does blind faith always get the dog. Sometimes, they just get stung and learn from their lessons. This is exactly what happened to the pets here who let some of their inherited traits get the best of them.
Cats are often curious and like to swat and touch random things. Dogs often believe that things won’t hurt them. But bees, they really like to use their stingers. Unfortunately, these pets learned first hand just how painful that can be.
This cat was accidentally stung on the chin and it shows! If he’s in pain, he’s suppressing it pretty well with his stoic body language. But his face looks like he wants to scream!
This adorable pooch stepped on a bee resulting in a painful paw. That can’t be fun. You just have to be a bit more careful next time!
This little guy actually ate the bee. But it looks like the bee is winning the fight from within. Stay strong! Good thing his mama is around to soothe him.
Waffles must have really wanted some honey for breakfast. But the bee certainly got the best of him. That paw is quite massive.
I feel like the paw is speaking to me. Like, it wants to say something to the people. Probably, steer clear of
all beehives!

6) Just in Time for the Holidays
Rudolph has a cousin who just so happens to be a cat. Or maybe his nose is red and swollen from a bee sting?
Nah, we’ll stick to reason here.
Have you swallowed a bee before? Well, this cat can relate. Clearly, he’s dealing with the repercussions of her actions in silence, with a sad face to match.
This dog resembles a certain actor and it’s priceless. But his looks are only temporary. He too ate a bee because… why not?
I guess flying objects just look delicious.
One bee just isn’t enough? This cat had a buffet and consumed more than one of them. Yikes. That swellng must have taken quite some time to go down!
I’d listen to her! But maybe she’s just letting this fierce cat look go to her head.

11) Rocky Lost This Round
When it’s your day, you can do whatever you want. So for National Dog Day, Rocky wanted to eat a bee.
Bee careful what you wish for!
Sometimes, it’s best to just sleep it off. She has the right idea. That paw is as big as an apple.
This cat won’t be doing much marching anytime soon. I vote on going to rest on that big pillow behind him. Better yet, why not give that soft stuffed animal a snuggle?
Some pets just need the extra attention after being stung by a bee. This guy needs all of it. Boy, if this dog could talk…
So I guess sometimes when animals are stung by bees, they begin to take on human forms. The internet will not let this one go! But c’mon…
16) Sylvester, Like Rocky the Dog, Lost This Fight
Holy cow! Those paws are large enough to serve as tennis rackets. Or as those practice mitts in a boxing gym. How ironic that he share the same name as Rocky himself?
I bet he won’t go picking a fight with bees again anytime soon.
Barney bit a bee! As you can see, he lost but isn’t feeling too bad about the fight. At least he doesn’t have to suffer alone!
This cat looks to be trying its best to not show any weakness. But clearly, he’s a bit uncomfortable and swollen. Props to the “I got this” pose.
This poor kitten’s lips really swole up after being stung by a bee. It may not have been the look he was going for but it works! Just take it easy with the bees next time.
The snout! Again, another dog, another bee. Every dog has its day and this definitely wasn’t one of them.
21) To Play with Bees or Not?
It’s amazing how much an animal’s paw swells up after an interaction with a bee. Good thing their owner was around to mend to their injury! Playing with bees is a huge no-go!
22) A Sting Bound to Make Bling
That face says it all! Ooh! That pose though… somebody get this cat a modeling contract.
23) “Can I just come in now?”
Somebody let this dog inside the house! She tried to eat a bee but it sorely backfired. The outcome could have been much worse, I’m sure.
Here is another examply of the pain being written all over their face! Judging by the photos of other animals, it could have been much worse. But then again, she is hiding that right paw.
25) “I’m not crying, you’re crying!”
This cat bit the dust but doesn’t look too bad after doing so. He looks like he’s ready for a nap, actually. Some cats just know how to play pain off quite well.
If your cat eats a bee, put them on a leash. What this truly accomplishes is yet to be seen. In the meantime, doesn’t she look snazzy by the pool?
Another cat learns another lessson. Maybe they can catch mice easier this way. To us humans, it sure is a sight to behold!
This cat just needs to be coddled. But by golly, look at that paw! It just had to be said. But at least he’s not alone!
Pets just know when their owners are trying to take a picture and show the world. Lacey here is no different. Don’t expect a smile from her!
Sometimes after getting stung by a bee, you just feel helpless. Clearly, this cat just wants to tend to her wounds in peace! Cats are known to mask their feelings when they feel ill.
This cat will always be it as long as its nose is swollen like that. Don’t worry, there’s no shame. It happens to the best of us.
Well, if that ain’t a snout then I don’t know what is! That sting most definitely left its mark. Don’t worry little guy, it’s only temporary.
Ouch! Well, this looks pretty intense! It’s safe to say that these cats learned things the hard way. It may not be pretty but it just might not happen again. Hopefully, not at the same time at least!
34) Paws of a Fallen Hero
At least it didn’t go down without a fight! But all champions have their day. This might have been one of those losing ones.
35) The First Time is the Last Time
This dog is really feeling it! He might be quite woozy after this enounter. I’m sure he’ll steer clear from bees after this horrific experience.
This cat might be the sore loser but for good reason. He tried to eat a bee but the bee wasn’t having it! Can we really blame the bee?
37) When Things Could be Worse
It looks like someone is having second thoughts about life after being stung on the paw. Just look at the way she looks at it. It isn’t as bad as we’ve seen though. I’ll count this one lucky!
38) Just Smile Through It
It looks like this pup got the ultimate bee treatment. His face swole up to the size of a melon. But just look at how cute he is!
Link got stung by a bee and clearly didn’t take too kindly to it. That swollen left cheek speaks volumes!
You ever see a pet that just regrets their decision? Here, we have exhibit A. Poor cat probably wishes that she could rewind back time.
He’s kind of like a blimp! A cute, yet odd-looking swollen blimp. Obviously, this dog had a pretty bad reaction to a bee sting. Luckily, all turned out well.
42) “Let’s get this over with.”
Making your pet take photos after a bee sting is never fun for the pet. This cat proves that point. Just look at his swollen eye.
She must be well aware of her swollen paw. She’s covering it with her tail. At least she seems to know where things went wrong.
Awww she’s still so tiny. The good news is that she learned the lesson about bees at a young age. It’s doubtful that she’ll put herself in harm’s way again.
This boxer looks quite swollen after his encounter with a bee. The entire right side of his face is red and his eye is partially swollen shut. Good thing he made it out when he did!
Sometimes pets just don’t care about another pet’s pain. This cat is one of those pets. Apparently, this dog was stung and the cat didn’t even flinch.
Those bees really got this pup pretty good. Just look at that bees nest! I’m sure if he sees one of those things again he’ll go the other way!
48) Thinking on One’s Actions
This cat’s paw swole up just like the predecessors on this list. He seems to be taking it in stride though. As we know, it could be worse. Still, this cat seems pretty traumatized.
One side of this dog’s mouth is considerably swollen. It doesn’t look too bad though. It actually just looks like he’s making a face.
After eating a bee, this basset hound just wants to relax. Unfortunately, that swollen snout looks quite uncomfortable. At least he has his buddy by his side!
Aww this poor pup is keeping his spirits up after being stung by a bee. But his poor face is slightly lopsided after being swollen on one side.
This lab’s eyes are so swollen that he can’t open them! But look how happy he is despite the circumstances. Such a good boy!
53) Been Around the Block
This guy looks like he’s lived a long life after being stung by a bee. He can barely keep his eyes open!
It looks like he began to cry after eating his snack… a bee of course. The effects sure are flaring up now!
After sniffing around in places where his snout didn’t belong, he learned a lesson in minding one’s own beeswax! Still quite the striking dog!
Wowzers! His face is about the size of a watermelon! That’s one bad reaction. Luckily, he has his owner by his side to comfort him.
57) You’ve Got a Friend in Me
This poor cat’s eye became irritated after being stung. But cozying up to her owner after the experience wasn’t so bad.
This one is pretty funny. This, without a doubt, makes me hungry. It doesn’t help that the color of her fur is also the color of a perfect, golden pancake.
Poor dog.
59) Building Up a Tolerance
This is a throwback to when he first got stung by a bee. It was a year and a half ago. Ironically, he’s been stung five more times since.
Some pets never learn.
Maybe some other dogs haven’t learned their lesson but I sure hope he has. Who would want to go through this again? He looks miserable and defeated.
Well, look at those faces. It’s hard not to feel bad for them. The pup accidentally stepped on a bee and got stung pretty good. Some owners truly feel their pet’s pain.
It looks like both of this dog’s mouth and eyes swelled up after an unfortunate bee encounter. On the bright side, I’m sure he’ll see the next bee coming from miles away next time.
After being stung, this little fella’s bottom lip took on a life of its own. He doesn’t look too thrilled about it though.
Bee stings can change anybody’s mood. Just look at how happy-go-lucky this guy was before being stung. Look at that jawline after!
65) When McGruff has Enough
It looks like McGruff the crime-fighting dog has met his match. We used to think that he was so invincible. But alas, he’s retired and getting stung by bees.
66) With a Wink and a Smile
Okay, he can play off his pain pretty well. He’s just a tad bit swollen but he looks as if he’s ready for his close up.
67) “I’ll just lay here.”
His mom came home and nearly had a heart attack. He looks pretty beat. But he had the right idea by deciding to sleep it off.
At least it’s well proportioned! That snout looks like a perfect rectangle. But I don’t think that’s the look he was going for.
Yikes! Fortunately, she was rushed to the vet. She spent three hours taking antihistamine by drip to recover.
Hannah’s face grew only a few inches larger after her bee sting. Her reaction could have been worse (see former slide).
This guy got stung in the testicles. It wasn’t so much the pain that was troubling him but rather the itching! Hence, the cone. Hopefully, he’s more aware of his surroundings.
Another paw of shame! Cats always find the oddest places to go to for comfort. At least he can prop his paw up.
He can’t seem to wrap his mind around how he was stung by a bee. Yep, they leave a piece of them with us. We’ve all been there.
She was minding her own business when she stepped on a bee! Clearly, the bee didn’t take too kindly to that. I’d hate to be hit with that paw!
75) Smile Through the Pain
She had a moment of curiosity and wondered what those black and yellow things were. Well, she got too close and found out! Just look at those eyes!
There’s not much we can do to shield our pets from bees. A bee sting just might be bound to happen. The best we can do is be there for them if it does!
