Not a long enough stretch, apparently.

Next time make it 8 hours.

Despite the look on her face, Barbara is clearly enjoying her petting time.

Don’t think that just because you got a cat you get off drool-free!

Welcome to the surveillance state, kitty.

But that doesn’t mean she didn’t love cuddle time too.

As cat owners know, only the cat knows how long cuddle time should last. The rest of us find out the hard way.

But we’re pretty sure this is her happy face. Or at least content. Or at least as non-murdery as a cat can get.

Doesn’t Barbara look impressed?

Barbara has clearly run out of shows to binge-watch and has taken the remote so she doesn’t have to watch anyone else’s shows either.

Or maybe she’s just wondering why there’s a bust of Nefertiti on the mantle but no cat figurines.

It looks like the cat expects company during her day naps as well.

And while she’s so photogenic, she’s also a moody little model.

Those eyes! That curly, fuzzy chest!

That experssion that says “touch me and die.”

It just doesn’t work.

Between their love of clean sheets and their assumption that bed-making is simply a game, you might as well just dump everything on the bed and let the cat get hair all over it again.

It took her a month, but after that, she was comfortable in her new home.

The only issue was some lingering dislike of strangers – but let’s face it, that’s THEY’RE problem.

Borok took this photo when she got back from California and Barbara simply wouldn’t leave her alone for days.

She might look mad, but she certainly loves her mom!

Barbara is just like any other cat with her love of Amazon boxes. But it looks like she was pretty disappointed with the order itself.

They’re pretty possessive of their owners (at least their favorite owners) and Heaven help you if you try to get in the way.

She loves laying just about anywhere on her mom – because humans are just furniture after all.

But you can look both cranky and majestic at the same time – and this cat is proof!

That’s all part of her unique charm.

We just hope she didn’t knock him off the shelf right after this was taken.

Barbara clearly wants some privacy here.

And any other cat is sinister at least some of the time.

Then again, she’s still content to lay on her mom’s belly, so it couldn’t have been that scandalous.

Looks like Barbara is not up for criticism. After all, SHE’S the professional sleeper in the house.

“The internet has fallen in love with Barbara’s grumpy face but mostly as it completely contradicts the extreme smothering affection they see in her with me. It seems to give her more complexity, and also makes me the envy of, like, millions of women?” Borok joked to Bored Panda.

Who could resist this face?

“Barbara’s priority in life is to be on me, wherever I am, and that includes the bathroom,” Borok explained to Bored Panda.

She’s not a huge fan of guests, so we hope no one came to visit the house on this day.

But by this time Barbara had gotten over much of her aggression. Now the murder appears to be limited to her facial expression.

But who could resist capturing those gorgeous greeen eyes?

But this is simply Barbara’s resting face.

In fact, this might be her happy face!

“I don’t think Barbara is capable of sleeping in any position that is detached from my arm,” Borok revealed.

But we see what’s really going on here and that’s some serious love for her human.

Maybe she just really loathes the camera because it means there’s one less hand available to pet her.

We all know someone who looks much friendlier in person.

We can’t help but laugh at this photo snapped at just the right moment to make this sweet kitty look truly peeved.

Barbara is clearly finding a more productive way to express her concerns about the world.

It’s a good thing we know she’s a sweet girl because this photo alone would have us pretty afraid of her.

That’s the beauty of Barbara – you can interpret those facial expressions at will.

Barbara clearly just wants to be left alone to hate the world in peace.

Don’t we all sometimes?

But we’re not sure how close we’d put our hands to this face.

In fact, it looks like she would prefer it that way.

And you know you’re a lucky cat when you don’t get booted out of bed for being such a pest.

And yet, we’re still in love.

While it looks like you’d lose a finger in the process, there’s something so irresistable about Barbara that we wish we had a grumpy little girl of our own.

Could it be because all hands are on the camera and none are on her?

Where is the attention she so richly deserves?!

Little does she know that the crankier she looks the more we want to see that face.

Those ears say it all.

She’s not even in the mood to give the camera the death glare.

We’d be sleeping with one eye open.

We feel your pain, Barbara.

No tip for this bad service.

Here eyes still say “don’t even think about it” but we’d be tempted to snuggle this little bug anyway.

They’ll certainly show up for work, but they won’t let you get anything done.

At least Barbara is staying off the laptop.

We’re just not sure we could concentrate with that face staring back at us.

Or she’s upset that there are no books about cats.

It looks like she’s willing to stage a sit-in until things change.

Maybe it’s because everyone still thinks she’s so cute despite her best efforts to be grumpy.

Who needs a guard dog when you have this face to turn people away?

This is Barbara’s chair. Don’t even think about sitting in it.

She can even tell you’re still thinking about sitting in it.

She’s just as cranky in black and white.

To be fair, it’s hard to play when you don’t have fingers.

She’s always up for cuddles and kisses, even if she scowls the whole time.

That’s just part of her charm!

From her curly fur to her wild whiskers to her fur-rocious frown, Barbara is winning hearts around the world.

And she looks really impressed by all that.
