We all know what the cone of shame looks like and how some pets might think it’s the worst thing in the world. However, not every dog (or cat) wears it the same way. There are quite a few pet owners who have taken pictures to prove just that between their hysterical bouts of laughter.

The cone of shame has many names. The traditional one is the Elizabethan collar. This guy is not helping the collar live up to it’s more sophisticated roots.
Dogs are okay with most things after you give them a treat. Cats do not fall for your scams. They know they are still wearing the collar. Cats are smart.

It can take pets a little while to adjust to the collar and walk around normally. This one never got that far.
They might not remember how the collar got there since it was already on them when they woke up from surgery. However, they still know you were involved in it somehow.
