Woof. That’s just awful.

We’re not sure if this only lasted as long as it took to snap the photo or if this poor dog is walking around with his fur combed forward, but we pity him either way.

That’s not even a cut that humans can pull off.

For the record, that haircut doesn’t look any better on a guinea pig.

What are people thinking when they get out their scissors?

(Maybe the same thing we do when we make the terrible decision to give ourselves bangs.)

This dog would like to speak to your manager – and frankly, so would we.

It doesn’t even look like it has ears anymore.

But it’s not like Karen listens to anything people tell her anyway, right? She thinks she knows it all.

But we mean “bad” in the good way – like Michael Jackson’s “Bad.”

We’re not always fans of hair color on dogs, but this little dude seems ok with his new mohawk.

Is this an ode to Kid ‘N Play or did someone get their gardener to give their dog a haircut?

Either way, we’re impressed that this pup is still smiling.

We’re not sure what occasion warrants giving a dog an updo, but to each their own.

As long as no one is damaging their dog’s fur with styling tools, we suppose it’s all in good fun.

And she does look pretty cute.

This dog clearly just got back from a Jazzercise class in 1989 and needs some rest.

We’re impressed at the sheer amount of hair on this dog’s head. It’s enough for bangs AND a ponytail!

It looks like this pup had a full day at the doggie salon.

We definitely prefer the au natural look on the left, but he or she seems to be pretty pleased now that all that hair is gone.

We’re curious if pinning back a dog’s ear for the sake of a hairstyle is all that comfortable for the animal.

And yet, this cutie seems content to pose for a photo with her glam side ponytail.

This dog reminds us of a high school cheerleader with those bows.

But we can’t mock a dog that’s clearly enjoying all the “you’re so pretty” praise that her new hairstyle is clearly bringing her.

Well, that seems a little over-the-top.

The dog doesn’t look particularly thrilled either, but it may just be hanging its head so we can see it’s hairstyle more clearly.

Would you ever consider braiding your dog’s hair?

We’ve all been here, especially the curly girls.

Sometimes you can’t be bothered to do anything but pull your hair up into a high ponytail, put on your comfy clothes, and chill on the couch.

If they made yoga pants in her size we might not even be able to distinguish her from some humans.

Once again, the curly-haired dogs are channeling the off-days of the curly-haired girls.

We’re pretty sure we’ve worn this exact style on our day off before.

At first we wondered just how a dog could grow hair like that on the top of its head.

Then we realized that it’s actually the cat’s tail.

It’s a cute look – but even better as a temporary one.

You know, the “Flock of Seagulls” hairdo was an accident, so it might not be the best one to emulate.

It is iconic though.

We just hope this dog doesn’t mind only being able to see out of one eye.

She looks like a waitress at a truck stop cafe eager to bring her customers a piece of pecan pie or freshen their coffee.

But could this really be comfortable for a dog’s ears ?

Poor Trevor. We’re not sure if his owner is a novice or just decided that instead of cutting their own crisis bangs they’d do it to him instead.

It looks pretty clear that he’s not going to let his owner come near him with scissors again any time soon.

That’s a lot of styling effort for a dog! Heck, we don’t even put that much effort into our everyday looks!

We can’t deny that she’s pretty cute though, even if the accessories are unnecessary.

Many of the commenters on this photo saw a distinct “Karen” vibe or made a direct connection to John & Kate Plus 8’s Kate Gosselin.

We see it.

We’re just glad the dog can’t see it with both eyes.

We’re not sure if this is a show guinea pig or simply a pet, but we wonder where all that hair goes without the rubber band. Can it even see?

He looks like he plays in a folk band that had one hit 15 years ago.

How much food do you think gets stuck in there?

Someone is pooping in your shoes tonight. And it’s the dog that you forced to wear a combover.

Can we end this hairstyle for dogs AND humans, please?

Well, we still have questions about how comfortable this is for a dog’s ears, but we can’t deny that it’s adorable.

Of course, this tiny pup would be precious no matter what.

We don’t know if that “party in the back” is the dog’s real hair or not, but we nearly spit out our coffee when we saw this dog.

The underbite really sells the whole look.

There are quite a few amazing photos of “Ricci” the Spanish Water Dog’s spectacular hair.

Of course, he needs an updo more often than not when he hasn’t had a good shave.

It’s not just dogs that get strange hairdos. We’ve seen a few guinea pigs as well.

But long-haired rabbits are also the “victims” of their owners’ hairstyling skills.

We just wonder how long this bunny’s bangs stayed put.

The dog is pulling off the “I’m too rich to worry about styling my hair” look.

And she’s pulling it off pretty successfully too!
