If you could recall all the cartoons you watched, story books, or nursery rhymes you had as a kid, they somehow told us that dogs and cats could never be friends. (Yes, I may be talking about The Farmer in the Dell or Spike in Tom and Jerry.)
However, we’ve proven all that wrong. After all, those were all fictional, and it’s a bit unfair to dogs and cats to be stereotyped that way. We’ve seen a lot of dog-cat friendships, and we can’t help but gush over how adorable they are.
This social media cat-lebrity had people coming back for more in his TikTok account, and it started when they had new neighbors.
Billy the Bengal
Billy has become quite a sensation on the internet. At first, his TikTok account was full of his adventures. His antics and tricks, his silly, naughty, and often feisty attitude when he’s not in the mood. People already loved Billy for that!
But somehow, he got more followers as he developed a friendship with the neighbor’s dogs. You would think it is unusual to have three dogs and a cat as a circle of fur friends, but these guys made it work.
A Bengal’s Personality
People often consider Bengal cats as wild cats that pretend to be domesticated. But they couldn’t be more wrong.
This cat breed is very sweet and loving to its owners and gets easily attached to them. Because of that attachment, they also are loyal to them.
Their sweetness doesn’t only apply to humans but to other animals, too. They could become the closest friends if they get properly acquainted with them and get used to their presence.
Meet the Neighbors
Billy (or rather, his hooman) shared on his TikTok account that they got a new neighbor, and they have a German Shepherd. He found his nose sticking out at the fence that borders both properties.
They filmed their first encounter, and both were curious about each other. There were lots of taps and boops exchanged between them. That was the start of their beautiful friendship.
As the days went by, they noticed that there was another dog – a Rottweiler. They were hesitant to let them interact at first because they were getting too excited and might end up playing too rough. But like the German Shepherd, things worked out well for Billy and his new friends.
But that’s not all. A few days later, there was another member of the gang – a Staffordshire Terrier. It was like a party under those fences whenever they met! Of course, their meeting was full of boops, taps, licks, and sniffs. But to them, that’s how they bond.
