For anyone who has a pet that requires grooming, they usually depend on a professional to get the job done. But sometimes, the outcome isn’t what they expected. Then again, some individuals prefer to clip their pets. Often, that leads to even more interesting results.
Whether you have a groomer give your pet a haircut or you do it yourself, you’ll love these 20 photos. Whoever was responsible for these was able to accomplish something that’s quite difficult…making animals look more like humans.
1. Is it a Beetle?
No, not the bug, the other kind. Is it just us or does this pup’s haircut make him look just a little bit like one of The Beetles? We’re not quite sure which one but that cut is certainly reminiscent of the 1960s. You either love it or hate it.
2. Hopefully, it’s a phase
Before being groomed, this dog had a lot of long fur. Afterward, he looks more like a Gothic teenager who’s going through “a phase.” Well, there’s one good thing about this haircut…he’ll feel a lot cooler this summer.
3. Pippy Long Stockings
For those of you who remember the adorable Pippy Long Stockings, you’ll get it. Although this sweet girl doesn’t have red fur and freckles, there’s still a strong resemblance. Talk about cuteness overload…this is it.
4. Not impressed
From the look on this dog’s face, she’s not very impressed with her new do. We almost catch a glimpse of embarrassment in her eyes. But overall, this could be worse. At least she won’t have to worry about any hair falling down her face. And with a human-like appearance, she’ll fit in with the family better.
5. A human Bichon
Because the Bichon breed doesn’t shed, it’s essential to have them groomed. We don’t know if this is a boy or girl, but this pup’s face kind of looks like a little old man. We’ll give the groomer credit for the transformation.
6. We know who you are
There’s no question in the world that this dog’s haircut makes her look like the late famous comedian, Carol Channing. The similarity is phenomenally close. Our only question…was this what the owner requested and if so, why?
7. Sweet as pie
Awe…this pup, whose name is Maggie, is downright precious. And those purple bows are a nice touch. Before, she was shaggy but now, she looks more like a six-year-old girl ready for her first-grade school photo. Remember to smile.
8. Is that you grandpa?
Regardless of the breed, we’re not sure why someone would leave a beard like this on a dog. Yes, he now looks just like grandpa but we bet it’s a mess to clean after he finishes eating. We have so many questions about this haircut.
9. Beach baby
For whatever reason, the first thing that came to mind was this dog looks like a cast member of the movie, “Beach Blanket Bingo.” She has that summertime vibe and she’s rocking it. The only thing she needs now is a polka-dot swimsuit.
10. So sophisticated
Initially, this dog looked like a young child who’d been playing outdoors for a long time. But after her haircut, she has more of a sophisticated yet somewhat sassy appearance. What an incredible change.
11. It’s a toss up
This one is hard to judge because this pup was super cute before and now after. Although with the hair cleared away from his eyes, he appears more human than before. We’d take him either way…shaggy or groomed.
12. Va Va Voom
Whoever groomed this poodle took her from a “mangy mutt” to a gorgeous lady. Now, she looks like a canine sex kitten. Is there such a thing? If not, there should be and she would make a perfect spokesmodel.
13. “She Loves Me Yeah Yeah Yeah”
Speaking of The Beetles, here’s another dog that transformed into one of the band’s members with a single haircut. But here’s the deal…we’re not sure if this is the dog’s real hair or a wig. Either way, it’s really cute.
14. 90210
What do you want to bet this dog lives in Beverly Hills and had his hair cut by the “Groomer to the Stars?” Shoot, this would be an awesome style for a person or a dog. We’re loving it.
15. No…not ever
Do you remember when we mentioned that some people prefer to clip their pets? Well, this is why they shouldn’t. With this “quarantine cut,” this beautiful Standard Poodle now looks like a man who’s going bald. Next time, leave the haircut to a licensed groomer.
16. Starting a band
With a blue Mohawk, this dog looks like he’s ready for his debut as the newest member of a New Age band. The only problem…he can’t sing or play an instrument. But at least he’ll look super cool on stage.
17. Someone better watch out
The Afghan is probably one of the most intriguing and gorgeous dog breeds in existence. This pup is a perfect example as to why. But one word of caution to Fabio…you better up your game or this guy will take your place on the cover of romance novels.
18. Ready for her closeup
Does anyone want to put money on it that this girl’s name is Zsa Zsa? She’s in model mode and ready to take the world by storm. She’s such a beautiful dog and so demure that she deserves to be in the limelight.
19. Rock-a-bye baby
Give this boy a bottle, blanket, and his favorite stuffed animal, and he might be mistaken for a human baby. Although we have no clue what his breed is, that face is simply too cute to ignore.
20. It’s’ a…
…snowball. No, it’s looks more like a kid in a white parka. Oh wait, it’s another Bichon…this one with an award-winning haircut. Regardless of what or who this pup looks like, the groomer created a masterpiece.
