After being cooped up in the barn for 6 months, the dairy cows at Pemberton Farm are in for a big surprise.
In a viral video that has been viewed over 3 million times, the dairy cows at Pemberton Farm are finally released into the open field on a beautiful sunny day. Their happiness and pure joy are undeniable. It might just be the cutest video you’ve ever seen.
The farmer, Tom Pemberton, is excited too and ready to let his ‘ladies’ out to play.
“This is the biggest day in a dairy farmer’s year…it’s the most exciting day…you’ve heard about the royal wedding…this day’s bigger.” – Tom Pemberton
People from all over have come to witness the cows being released into the pasture.
Pemberton is anxious but excited about the turnout. His parking lot is full of cars and he is hoping the cows put on ‘a good show.’ “There’s a lot more people than I thought would turn up which is good a little nerve-wracking though.” – Pemberton
He playfully walks through the barn telling the cows to get moving…“Come on ladies…it’s time to shine…it’s time to get out!”
The cows seem to know what is about to happen. They start moving toward the gate at the end of the barn. Pemberton says that the older ones move slower but that’s fine.

The time has come for the cows to be let out and everyone is ready.

The gates open and for a second the cows seem to be a little in shock. That doesn’t last though when they realize they can venture out into the field. They start jumping and running and it’s obvious to everyone that they are absolutely elated. Whoever thought cows didn’t have emotions hasn’t seen this video. The cows are loving every second of it and the joy in the air wins over the crowd.
The sun is shining and it’s a perfect day for this celebratory event at the farm.
People who saw the video online were just as happy. One person wrote, “I am 70 and I have never seen a cow run and jump like this.”
The cows seem to have a great life at Pemberton Farm.
The crowd of people who came to watch the event cheer as the cows run past kicking their hooves and swinging their tails. There is no doubt this is a special day for everybody.
